I slowly opened my eyes, a ray of sunlight flashed brightly into my emerald eyes as my head pounded with regret. I deeply inhaled the wicked smell of beer and realised, I had fallen asleep in the pub again hadn't I? Lifting my head slowly, I noticed no body was here. Not even my drinking buddies from last night.. I felt queazy , it could've been the fact I was having a hang over but it was probably the fact that no body even tried to help me.

"Are you awake missy?" A bar tender called from behind the counter.
"I am now" I hollered in a dreary voice
"Well you should get cracking lassie! It's almost 9am." He said from behind the counter.
"I was just heading out" I lied.
I sat up straight and noticed my reflection in the empty glass bottle. I looked like I had just gotten my make up done by a child as my lipstick was smudged. My head felt dizzy as I stood up and stumbled out of the door, the bell clashed against it creating a jingle that echoed around the pathetic pub.

I walked down the streets and received a few strange looks from villagers. I mean I would be pretty surprised too if I saw the mayors daughter with a hangover It wasn't anything I wasn't used to, lots of people judged me without getting to know me. I walked down a local street. For some reason I wasn't watching where I was going and tripped over the smallest rock. I waved my arms frantically as I tripped but I was somehow caught by someone.
"Whoah! You alright there missus?" An olive skinned girl asked me as she pulled me upright.
"Oh I'm fine!" I answered rather startled
The girl was tall and she was wearing a blood red jacket with a tail. Her hair was tied up neatly in a bun and it was tucked into a strange black hat.
"Well you don't look it princess." she said joked "well I'm Scorpia, Scorpia Thunderclap" she held out her hand for me to shake.I noticed she was wearing a beautiful silver wrist watch. I admired the small markings of old English that were engraved neatly on the surface. Even though I knew I had a few that were similar at home, I wanted to add it to the collection.

"Pleasure to meet you, I'm Isobel." I took her hand and sneakily unlatched the wrist watch and stuffed it up my sleeve.
"Well it's lovely to meet you gorgeous" She chuckled "I really must be going, perhaps we might see each other again?"
"Maybe we will." I smiled falsely and waved her off. Her coat blew in the wind mysteriously as she walked away.
I glanced at the watch in my hand. "Nice one Izzy" I whispered under my breath.
