My eyes peered through the thick glass panes as I waited for Something to happen as they lowered Bonnie further and further to the glistening gemstone. Feeling bored without my liquor, I averted my focus from Bonnie to the four guards that stood at least five meters away from the jewel. Their foreheads glistened as sweat droplets formed on their foreheads as the Spanish Summer radiated through the glass into the room as if they were freshly cooked chickens coated in a tasty glaze.

From the corner of my eye, the flicker of a metallic object caught my eye as someone slickly entered the building without being noticed by the guards. It didn't take me long to realise that it was Tiger. My eyes fixated on the girl that slunk in the shadows like the Predator she was. One of the guards noticed the slight commotion but before he could even utter a word, a hand muffled his screams and metallic object sliced his throat with a quick , clean motion.

Tigers Smile widened as the blood trickled down his neck and he fell to the floor in a heap. Covering my eyes, I could feel a suppressed gasp escape my mouth. I had been sheltered from all the terrible things growing up as the mayor's daughter but I had little rambunctious but this was just shocking.

My eyes focused on Bonnie as the pair slowly eased her down toward the jewel above the oblivious heads of the guards. Bonnie dangled a couple meters above the jewel like a spider hanging from a suspiciously long string of silk. Not daring to breathe, my eyes fixated on the young innocent girl who enthusiastically scooped up the Jewel and shoved it deep into her pocket during her gradual ascend.

A distressed voice called out something indecipherable from down below. The guards scanned the room for the sight of the thief or the jewel but they were nowhere to be seen.

"Afternoon, boys!" Bonnie shouted with a grin on her face. They returned the greeting but did a double take to the girl who was climbing through a woman-made escape hole.

"Ella tiene el diamante! Consíguela." A guard screeched but before he could make one move Scarlet emerged from the shadows and tackled him to the floor and he landed with a thud. Also making an appearance, Karla cried her meaningful war cry as she pounced on a guard and attempted to knee him in the nuts. I managed to make out a figure in the corner that I assumed was Trinity as she wasn't really doing much apart from sharing guidance as the girls tussled with the men. More guards lined up in an aligned fashion and started leaving the building to hunt us down.

"Oops. I didn't really think that through." All of a sudden, I felt a forceful yank on my arm which I instantly knew was Scorpia.

"Come on, don't stand there watching like a blobfish, RUN." That was all the motivation I needed, my legs propelled me forward as if they were programmed to do so as the chase begun. It didn't take long for the guards to move to higher ground.

"YOU ARE SO STUPID SOMETIMES, BONNIE!" Scorpia yelled in an exasperated voice as she leaped from building to building, constantly checking for the enemy in her rear view.

"I'm sorry! But I KNOW you would've done the same." It was true, Scorpia has a habit of gloating. Bonnie had obviously picked that up from her.

"This is no time for arguments. We need to get out of this situation." I was like a knife in their conversation. There was the gap between the two towering buildings that I had failed to jump previously. I swallowed my pride and started to advance to the edge until Scorpia stopped me with her hand.

"Look, we can't risk you falling this time. You go down the ladder and run to Enchanta and tell her that we are in a bit of trouble and to get the ship ready to leave the docks. Got it?"

Without waiting for a response, she gave me a little shove towards the ladder. I could see the guards perfectly who were less than 40 feet away. Their faces were red as dynamite as they looked as if their own brains were about to explode in their heads from anger. I knew I wouldn't be able to make it across the building but the guards strength and burliness could be enough to catch up and retrieve the jewel. The look on Bonnie's face confirmed my theory. At that moment, something unexpected happened, Bonnie carefully approached me and discreetly shoved her fist deep into my pocket where she unclenched her fingers and a heavy object weighed my pocket down. She retrieved her hand and grinned.

"I trust you. Keep it safe. Go straight to Enchanta."

And that was all she said until she leaped across hell's gap.
