"hello princess?" dominics vowels stretch.

"dominic what's your middle name? do you like pickles on your sandwich? what was your first pet? what's your moms name?" my words shot through my mouth like bullets at the phone.

"uh, david? and i'm way too high to remember all of those other questions babe. what's going on?" his voice trails over the line and i let out a deep sigh.

"dom, i really like you. and like what we have going on, you know but—" i begin to say.

"but? why is there a but?" he asks.

"but i feel like i don't really know anything about you, i just found out your middle name a minute ago, and you're already talking about the future with me." i coo.

"uh, i kinda figured that. i was saying that to my mom too," my heart melts at the sound of it.

"yeah i called her yesterday before we went out, she thought it was corny how we spent a couple days together and i said i was going to marry you," bellows were heard over the phone and made me emotional.

"is she coming out soon?" i ask.

"next month actually," dom says.
"baby i have to go. i'll talk to you soon okay?"

"okay, bye dom. hope you're enjoying new york," i say.
