"i'm quitting chipotle." i told jack. the death stare given right after already entailed his outlook on my suggestion.

"hear me out!" i rushed to say before him. "i've been saving for the last couple years, it's not like i can't afford it and dom totally supports my decision."

it had been almost a month and a half since i had stumbled into dominic in the back of chipotle. what started off as a random rainy tuesday, flipped my life completely around.

there wasn't a day that me and dominic weren't talking, if for some sort of reason we couldn't be together. i had practically moved in with him and had been seeing my uncle less and less. courtesy of my unshakably good spirit, i still gave him money for rent even if i had barely been there.

"i refuse." is all jack huffed out before folding his arms over and reclining back into the booth.

"i have been talking to an agency in los angeles though," i cheered. earning nothing from jack, i slightly swatted his arm and sucked my teeth.

"it's only because you haven't met him yet, you don't like him." i say and jack scoffs.

"i have."

"that doesn't count." i assure. "he's not going anywhere jack, you can stop being so over protective." i continued.

"what do you need to quit for? tell me. give me one good reason." he asked before biting into his burrito.

"i've been working 4 to 5 days a week since i was 15 years old. at this exact place. i'm over it! it's time to get an actual move on with life jack, we're not kids anymore. and plus, i already technically had my last day so it's already official." i murmured the last part.

"you weren't even going to tell me?" he sneered.

"i was, i am! now—" my phone flashes dominic's precious face on the screen. a call from 'dom :)'

"i have to go, he's outside." i lifted out of the booth.

shrugging me off, jack gives me a lousy okay before proceeding to eat his meal.

"i love you! you're my best friend forever!" i sing while leaving  his presence.

"hi baby!" i gushed. even with seeing him constantly now, i still got excited like a little puppy seeing him.

"afternoon, princess." he says and greets me with a kiss.

"i will never step foot in there again." i let go of a sigh. it was like a bittersweet feeling. i'll always remember it here but i'm beyond thankful for never doing back.

"i'm just glad i can for real spoil you now," dominic's hand grabbed mine and kissed it.

"if that's what you think." i chuckled. our afternoon went on to our nail appointment and our lunch date.

i had finally pushed dom to paint his nails, and we both got a white with matching smiley faces on our pinkies, though mine were on acrylics. after telling him how much more comfortable i feel with acrylics on, dom vowed to always take me to get them done when ever i wanted.

i admired the way dominic was so comfortable with feminine things. painting his nails, to randomly asking me to dye his hair pink at three in the morning.

coincidentally enough, dominic has yet to even establish a relationship, which i tried not to think about much. we did everything you would think two people in a relationship would do, and were for sure loyal to each other.

even the slip up at the mall the other day when dominic had completely shut down a worker trying to flirt.

"this suit is from dolce and gabbana," the lady admired all over dominic. she's just doing her job, i had to tell myself. since we had walked in, she insisted on helping us.
