Two humans. They stood on a hill facing the west, and before them their eyes shined in a frozen moment in which they were reunited

But Izuku Midoriya, prodigy of All Might, seemed to not be in such mood.

This new soul caught the last ray of sunset beyond them and lit their faces; tearful, smiling faces were shown as the looked to each other. They were... truly happy.

Midoriya stared at the busted no. 13 notebook from over his "friend"'s shoulder for some time. Bakugou didn't know he's snuck in, nor that he'd come to speak to him after Kirishima had asked for his help.

He wasn't himself, or so they said, but Midoriya no longer doubted it for how he seemed to fear the notebook would turn to dust if gripped with the slightest pressure due to how old it was after the impact with the explosion-user's quirk.

The notebook also had a picture that was indeed old the image was drawn by charcoal sticks and with a delicate hand that shaded where the light from the souls didn't touch - had quirks not been involved it would have dissolved many years ago.

When the race of the quirks and quirkless existed, it was a peaceful time, before All for One would get his hands on society with its downgrade as his aid.

And now not even the sun could show Midoriya's heart being one with Bakugou's.

"Do you remember when you used to care?"

Midoriya looked up. He could hardly make out the blonde dandelion with the curtains drawn, but what little light that entered showed his head turned slightly. How long had he known he was here?

When Midoriya didn't answer, he sighed, "I had thought you would have taken this with you. But it meant nothing, didn't it?"

"That isn't true," Midoriya insisted. "This #1 Hero thing that you instigated, what I said to you... it was too late to go back for it. I wanted to keep myself safe from being hurt all over again if you truly went through with this threat of yours."

"So you do admit that this notebook and picture had meant something to you, tch, makes sense.... Now probably wanna forget it as well as you wanna forget me as well..." It was unspoken, but Midoriya knew he was thinking that it no longer did. His head drooped, the silence between them thickening.

Midoriya couldn't leave him like this; he had promised the Bakusquad that he would go to cheer him up, but his lingering was for more than that. Regardless of what he said, he could still had began to like, not to mention love Katsuki due to saving his life back then.

The truth was, this separation had put an aching void in him, parting their friendship and hoping Bakugou moved on from that accident. And he wanted that.

Moving around Bakugou so that he could see his face, he sat beside him, a few inches away. He still didn't move. Which would be perfect to catch him off guard.

He snaked his hands into his underarms and scribbled quickly as he could. Katsuki's reaction was instantaneous.

"Dehehehehehekuhuhu!" he squeaked atypically. "What is thihihihis?"

"This," Izuku hummed, much more comfortable in seeing his scramble backwards, "Is a well-deserved tickling session!" He crawled after him and continued tickling with extra vigor while leaning his head to nip at his neck. This, particularly, was something that made him hysterical back when they were still together.

It was still apparently true. "DEEKUUUUUU! NOHOHOAHAHAHA!" His hands nearly nicked him when he started to kick out, so he scooted to the side.

"I'll stop if you say you're happy again," he chortled, unable to stifle the sound. His laughter always had a way of getting to him and stoked laughter of his own.

"NAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA PLEAHEHEHEHSE!"

The green-haired human took this as a sign that he wasn't ready to give up yet. So, letting up from his neck nibbles, he moved her Hands from his underarms and scribbled them on his stomach.

"DEKU!! I-IZUKU!!! STAHAHAHAHAHAHAP!" Bakugou started blushing badly and covered up his face, his snorts muffled significantly.

"No you don't," Midoriya chided, "I want to hear that laughter loud as it is." he buried his face into his abdomen, nuzzling that spot with his nuzzle especially over his ribs.

Katsuki failed to keep his laughter in, bursting out in borderline roaring with laughter as he trashed moderately. "GAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Midoriya snickered with his muzzle receiving most of the sensation. He decided to finish it with a huge raspberry, right over his belly button. He winced at the sound he made before his breath gave out and he fell into desperate gasps and coughs.

Satisfied, and finding him far happier than before, he let him up and scooted back to give him the time and space to recuperate.

When he at last could speak clearly enough, he exhaled, "Did Kihihihihiri ask you to- hahahehe!! do that?"

Midoriya thumbed hus hands. Happy as he was, the divide between them couldn't disappear just like that. "They asked me to make sure you were okay, but this, particularly, was my choice."

"I dohon't understand. What about what you said, and you leaving and not taking the stuff? I thought-"

The green-haired male pressed a finger to his mouth. "Be quiet for once, Kacchan." And he curled up beside him, wrapped his arms around his torso, and sighed. Bakugou had tears in his eyes since it felt so foreign hearing such.

He wouldn't know it until much later, but the bit of sun that made it through the curtains rested on their souls, and joy entered as the couple closed the distance with each other.
