(my head hurt)

You trudged through the thick, grassy underbrush of the woods, pushing past any branches as you walked. The leaves and twigs crunched underneath your feet. You huffed. You weren't expecting the place to be this dense and hard to navigate. But still, you kept on, the building getting closer and closer to view.

After about a good 10 minutes of plodding through the woods, you had finally stumbled across it. The abandoned hospital. It stood in front of you like a towering giant, with boarded up windows and moss growing through the cracks of the walls. The large, formerly red EMERGENCY that sat above the entrance was now a dull mahogany, and there was some sort of sign with a white banner pinned it over that read, "SUNSHINEFIELDS HOSPITAL" in messy handwriting.

You gazed in pure amazement at the sight. It was weird, even creepy in a sense... but cool. You had to take a picture of this.

Pulling out your phone, you took a quick snap of the outside as you made your way around the building. Maybe you could find the entrance to this place?

And well, it didn't take you long.

Wandering around to the side, you eventually found the (formerly) automatic doors that lead to the lobby. The inside was completely pitch black, forcing you to use the flashlight on your phone. You took a step inside, your eyes squinting as you tried to make out what once was the entrance hall.

For starters, the place was a mess. Papers, confetti, streamers, and crayons were scattered all over the floors. The desk where the receptionist would normally sit was, of course, empty, and every now and then you would see a bug or centipede skitter past your feet. You cringed, taking a step back.

You started having second thoughts about even going inside. The place didn't exactly scream "safe", even with all the glamor and party decorations. Was this a good idea? What if something was in there, tempting you into its trap?

After thinking it over, though, you proceeded. You were here anyway, and you would've just wasted a whole 10 minutes of walking if you were to turn back. And besides... you were curious.

As you headed down the hall, the light from your phone was able to make out a couple of drawings that were scribbled haphazardly across the walls. They were, what looked to be, childish doodles of flowers, butterflies, rainbows, clouds, and things of the like. It was almost as if a group of kindergarteners had broken in and vandalized the place... it was kind of disturbing.

Still, you pushed along, snapping a couple of photos here and there. You giggled, pretending to monologue your discoveries.

"And here we can see another scribbly man," you hummed, looming your camera over the drawing of a well-dressed man with a scribble for a head, the words, "ƧTЯAИGƎЯ" were written below.

"What fascinating penmanship, I must say."

You then laughed, shaking your head at your own little antics. Oh, Y/N.

Minutes passed, and you began to explore deeper, even heading through rooms that you'd never expect to be in a hospital. They were more like playrooms, with toys and props scattered about. Among this, you also found plenty of drawings with that familiar handwriting. Most of them detailed this sorta cat-like figure, wearing a coat and ripped tie, whose name was Moisty.

You thought it was cool, but... just couldn't shake the anxiety you had as you went further inside. Eyes were on you, watching you closely, like predator stalking its prey. You'd occasionally turn your head and pick up the pace, hoping you hadn't caught the attention of something dangerous.

Then, there were footsteps.

Someone was here.

Okay, time to go, you told yourself, immediately sprinting towards the closest exit that you could find.

Your hands fiddled with the knob, but it wouldn't open. You pulled, you tugged, you banged on the door a couple of times, but it was no use. It wouldn't budge.

Fear started to course through your body, a bead of sweat now dripping past your temple. This was a mistake. It was a mistake coming here, and you knew you had to leave. Now.

You turned around, ready to run from this place and never come back... but were stopped, as a low, raspy voice spoke from above you.

"Hoo... leaving so soon?"

(wowza that seemed a bit rushed. again sorry if it seems like i'm rambling or any of the sort! but hope you enjoyed this somewhat delayed chapter)
