When Misty woke up the next morning she felt different. She felt like she wanted to get out there and do something. As she walked out of the hut she saw a long line of Moonlings headed to the teleporting stop. She spotted her friends showing them how to use it and went over to them. "Hey guys, what 'cha doing?" she said. It came out louder than she expected. "You are finally awake," shouted Aqua, nuzzling her older sister affectionately. "Yeah, I am up and I am ready to go, "Misty yelled. They waited until all the Moonlings were safely through the teleport before they went there themselves. Misty stood there looking at the amazing city that would soon be her home. As Ember came through she said, " This place is definitely going to need renovations." As she said that, the roof of a building next to her crumbled down. "A lot of renovations," she said with a giggle. Over the next few months, they fixed up the buildings, cleaned up the area, and overall made the city feel like a home. The Moonlings settled in and explored the area. The first step in fixing it up was breaking down the walls so it was open to everyone. Then they broke down the houses and rebuilt them out of wood. At first, the Moonlings did not know what to think of the doors. The humans helped them build flaps where they could put their noses and push the door open. They planted gardens and trees like the ones they had in their old village. One shock, about six months into building was that they found another colony of Moonlings living nearby. After some negotiations, the other Moonling tribe decided to join with them. The new tribe had very different traditions. They didn't even call themselves Moonlings. They called themselves the Rainlets. Their leaders thought Moonlings was a better name so they changed theirs. As for the leadership, they decided Shimmerstone and their kings would rule together along with a council made up of two Moonlings from each element. Unlike the other tribe, they decided each Moonling could live where he wanted to, instead of living in groups by element. There was quite a bit of arguing on that topic before they came to an agreement. It was actually quite fun learning about the other tribe's traditions. It was weird, living in a new place, with a new tribe, with new traditions, having your magic drained by an evil moonling, turning evil, being fixed by a magic spell that as a side effect moves your center of magic. But Skya, as everybody now called her, was happy to have a home. In this new world, things were strange. The world was new, but also perfect. She was going to be in the first exhibition to unite magic and humans and bring the world of technology and magic to an equal. Sunny had moved in with Crater and Willa. Maple was going to find more moonling colonies. Aqua had joined the committee for fixing up the kingdom, and Ember had started the first-ever firefighting moonling group! For the first time in her life, Skya felt truly at home.
