A/N - Ugh Charlie is just so perfect <3

Charlie’s POV

When I saw her run out the room my heart dropped. I knew she’d felt what I felt when I was singing. So why was she running? Was she scared? Was she even running from me? I walked over to Skyler who was talking to Reece.

“Hey, sorry to interrupt but do you know where Emilie went?” I asked nervously.

“She said she need some air so she’s probably gone up to the garden,” Skyler replied instantly giving her attention back to Reece. I muttered a thank you and headed upstairs, which took longer than expected as so many people stopped to congratulate me and I couldn’t be rude and ignore them.

I finally found my way outside and was overwhelmed by the relief of the cool night air. I slowly walked around Skyler’s massive garden until I saw her. Sitting on an old swing set. Looking beautiful. She looked deep in thought. Her forehead was creased in a frown, her eyes focused on a patch of grass. As I started walking towards her she stood up, still unaware I was there until she walked right into my chest. Her face tilted up to mine and the deep chocolately brown eyes I got lost in while I was singing met with mine.

She giggled nervously as she took a step back. “I was just coming to find you actually,” she said with a smile.

I raised my eyebrows, “Oh really?” I asked. “And why would that be?”

She smiled which made my smile grow even more, “I just wanted to say you were really great. You guys sang beautifully. I loved the song too...” she trailed off shyly and started fiddling with the ends of her sleeves.

“Thanks. I’m really glad you liked it. You know the song describes you perfectly. You’re beautiful.”

She blushed and rolled her eyes, almost as if she didn’t believe me. But how could someone as stunning as her not be aware of her beauty?

“Would you um...maybe...like to um...go out sometime?” I asked with a stutter, running my hand through my hair. Shit. What if she said no? We’d only known each other a few hours. Was it too soon? Did I just make a big mistake?

She cut off my train of thought by saying, “I’d love to.” I let out a small sigh of relief. Thank god I hadn’t been rejected. That would have been awkward.

Emilie shivered slightly and I suddenly became aware of how cold it was starting to get. Now I know this is meant to be the cute part where I give her my jacket, but I wasn’t wearing one either.

“Hey it’s getting pretty cold. We should probably go back inside.” she said, quietly.

“Yeah you’re right,” I agreed, “I think the boys and I are performing again in a minute too.” I said, glancing at my watch.

I followed Emilie into Skyler’s massive house and back downstairs to the basement. We walked up to the boys who were all stood next to the small stage Skyler had set up for us.

“Hey where have you been?” Tom asked. “People are waiting for us to do our next song.” He looked slightly annoyed.

“Sorry I was just talking to someone. Guys this is Emilie.” I introduced her to the others.

“Ok well I’ll leave you guys to it. Can’t wait to hear your next song.” Emilie said, smiling at me. The guys all said thanks and goodbye while I watched her walk off to her friends.

I didn’t take my eyes off her until Casey finally said, “Looks like Charlie’s got a crush!” The guys all laughed and playfully punched me on the arm.

“Shut up guys,” I mumbled, even though it was true. We picked our next song, Dance With Me Tonight by Olly Murs which was one of my favourite songs. It wasn’t the same as the first song. Instead of staring into Emilie’s eyes as I sang I was watching her dancing with her friends. She wasn’t the best dancer but she looked so beautiful laughing with her friends, I was smiling throughout the whole song.

The party ended a few hours later. We sung a few more songs, I chatted to Emilie and Skyler with the boys, and received many comments from them about how lovestruck I was. They joked about how nervous I was around her, when I’m normally full of confidence. They had a point, but I was just scared I’d say something stupid. Before we left I made sure I’d got Emilie’s number and the boys all wolf whistled as I gave her a hug goodbye. She felt so small in my arms but it felt so right. Just as I was leaving the room I turned around and winked at her, and I could have sworn I saw her blush...

A/N - I'm really really sorry I haven't updated in a while. I've been really busy with school and quite a few family dramas. As it is now half term I will try my very best to update more but I am going on holiday to New York so i might not get the chance. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. It was sort of a filler chapter as I'm not really sure what direction I want this story to go in. If you have any requests or suggestions for what you want to happen next, leave it in the comments :)

Stay awesome,

Anya xx
