Hello! This is a shorter chapter but I the next few I have something very exciting planned. Please enjoy and all rights reserved to Rick except for OC.

Annabeth's POV:

Annabeth knew she had officially moved on the next day, when the ambrosia didn't taste like buttered popcorn. Will had been telling her to have a small amount each day so she could get back to training faster. When she ate it, it tasted like blue chocolate chip cookies.

Percy and Jason were doing something Annabeth didn't care to know, but they called it 'guys things'. So, Piper, Hazel, and herself were in the hotel room. They were all sitting on the bed with the babies in the middle. Luke was asleep of course in front of Piper and Hazel, while Silena was sucking her pacifier with Annabeth tickling her.

"I think Jason and I are going to Malibu tomorrow to see my dad, I haven't seen him in a while," Piper said.

Just my luck, Annabeth thought.

"That should be fun!" Hazel exclaimed. "My mom's long dead and we never had a good relationship but I'm glad that it's working for you two. And Malibu sounds amazing!"

"What about you, Annabeth? Didn't you and Percy go to see your family yesterday?" Piper asked.

Annabeth just continued to play with Silena's feet. She swallowed hard before speaking. "Yeah, we went to my dad's house yesterday."

"How was he? Last I remember you haven't seen him for a while," Hazel recalled.

"He was the same as he has been for the last 21 years," Annabeth stated, trying to move on from the conversation.

Piper gave her a sad smile, "It didn't go well, did it?"

Annabeth shook her head, "...No, it didn't."

"What happened," Hazel asked cautiously, "you can tell us, we're your friends."

"We aren't on speaking terms," she finished.

"...well what happened-" Piper was cut off.

"He didn't tell anyone that he had grandchildren, not even his bitch of a wife. In fact, most of his friends don't even know I exist because he's too ashamed of me. And once again he put his work before his family and simply didn't care. Now I hope you are satisfied with your fill of my personal life," she snapped.

Piper and Hazel exchanged a quick look. Then, they both scooted close to her and gave her a big hug.

"I'm sorry Annabeth, I didn't mean to push you," Piper lamented, sneaking some charmspeak into her voice.

"Same, sorry," Hazel agreed.

Annabeth sighed, "It's okay."

"Did he call you after you left?" Piper asked.

Annabeth frowned, "He never has, but I didn't check." She stood up and walked over to the desk where her phone was charging. Sure enough, she had 3 missed calls and 1 voicemail, all from Frederick Chase. She made the mistake of listening to the voicemail.

Anna Elizabeth, I'm sorry. I wasn't the father you always wanted and I wasn't the father I should have been. I put so many other things in front of you and it wasn't right. I'm sorry for not being as excited as I should have been for your children. I'm sorry for not seeing the way your stepmother treated you and how disrespectful your step brothers were to you. I know you probably hate me and you have every right to. But I just wanted you to know that you have beautiful children and a wonderful husband. You don't have to, but I should be home alone tomorrow and you can come over. It can just be you and me and we can talk and watch our favorite shows again. I feel like I need to make up for everything I didn't do. I get that you may never want to see me again, but I love you, and you will always be my little girl.
