Chapter 15

I cried silently, waiting in hope for good news. A women came over and approached me.

"Hello sir, it's about Carmen," she said

My heart sank.

"Nothing to worry about, she just passed out, but she will have to stay in over night just to be sure,"

I thanked the doctor and she walked away. I was overjoyed that she would be okay. I sat down in the waiting room.

"Hey Michael," Luke ran over.

Calum and Ashton followed him. I was thrilled that they were here. I needed to focus on something else so I wouldn't be as worried.

"So, how's Carmen?" Ashton questioned.

"She'll be fine the doctors said. She just needs to stay in overnight. I'm actually concerned for her mum. I saw her in here, I'm certain." I replied.

Without telling me, Calum walked over to the front desk.

"Hello, it's Calum, I'm Dr Hood's nephew. May I speak to her?" He asked.

Hello could Dr Hood report to the front desk please, thank you. The tannoy sounded.

I looked over at Calum to thank him and he smiled. I honestly have no idea what id do without Ashton, Calum and Luke.

Calum's Aunt walked over to us.

"Carmen's mum has had a blow to the head, we expect her to be fine and I'll keep you all updated. In the meantime would you all like to see Carmen?" She said to us.

"YES!" I sreamed. The others laughed at me and I blushed. I might have shouted a little to loud.

She leaded the way to Carmen's room. I was building up relief, knowing her and her mum were going to be okay.

We got to ward 14 and there I saw her, lying down awake. It then came to me, I can't date her. As much as I would, I can't because she needs space after whatever happened.

"CARMEN" Ashton said screaming and running to hug her. I text Beth off of my phone, asking her to come up. I ONLY HAVE HER NUMBER BECAUSE CARMEN TEXT YER OFF MY PHONE! Point made. She then replied telling me she would be up in 20 minutes.

I decided it was best to leave. I'm bothering her to much and probably agitating her. I decided to walk out the hospital without turning my head back to look. I heard them call but that only made me walk faster.

I got out and decided to go a long quiet walk to clear my mind. I was walking along the river when a familiar voice called

"Michael, is that you?" The voice said. I turned round to see my childhood best friend, Amy.

"Amy? Is that you I haven't seen you for years!" I chuckled.

"Yeah it is. God you look so grown up. It feels like only yesterday we were at the park with each other playing on the swings"

"Yeah, ahah! We could go to the park right now and grab something to eat. I highly recommend McDonalds!" I chirped.

"Yeah, we have got to catch up,"

We linked arms, laughing at memories whilst walking to the park. I missed her...
