3rd PERSON POV :
After the back-to-school dance party, no one knew what was coming next. but it was for sure that the near future was formidable and fear will linger everywhere in this town. no one knew that today people will find Jason blossom but not in a healthy and alive form but in a form that would make them believe that the true form of evil has now landed in Riverdale.
BETTY POV:
I was really grateful to jughead that he comforted me when Archie left me high and dry outside pop's and now I think all its time I was in love with the wrong guy. And I am so happy that I and jughead have rekindled our friendship and thanks to jughead who made the move because I knew I wouldn't have. right now I am heading to my bedroom after my mom's sick longass speech. And when I checked my phone it 5:00 AM, great and I have dozen of messages by Kevin. so I reply.
KEVIN: betty cooper!!!!!!!!!!!!
KEVIN: REPLY TO MY TEXT!!!!!!!!!!
KEVIN: WHERE ARE YOU
KEVIN: SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAS HAPPENED
this text caught my eye and I became curious so I reply
BETTY: calm down Kev, I am home but what happened????
KEVIN: thank god, at least you replied so you have to come to the sweetwater river real quick with your parents. byeee
BETTY: ok I am coming
I don't know why I have a bad feeling like something is coming I think and go downstairs and wake my mom and dad. "mom and dad wake up, wake up!!" I said loudly ." what is it betty?!?!" my mom shouted. "mom Kevin just texted me to come to the sweetwater river with you guys he says something terrible has happened," I said frantically. "ok honey let's go," she said and we all made us towards the sweetwater river. when we reach there I could yellow tapes and police cars and many people and then I spot Kevin standing near jughead and Cheryl which is unusual, but I make my way towards them. Kevin greets me with a horror-looking face, jughead's mouth open and eyes wide and Cheryl crying hysterically. " OH MY GOD," I said loudly when I saw a corpse of a boy whose hand is half-chewed with no legs and blood dried and bite makes all over his body. And the most horrifying thing was that the corpse was of no one other than the missing boy Jason blossom. and then I felt like throwing up so I ran towards a tree and threw up behind it. I could feel Kevin, Jughead and Cheryl run after me. " omg betty are you ok " all three of them in unison, but Jughead's voice sounded more worried. is he worried about me?? I thought . "yeah I am, but what hell happened. and whose corpse is that?" I asked knowing exactly whose it was. and with that Cheryl started to cry again and the boys' head down. and as much as I hate her, I hugged Cheryl, and she broke down in my arms. and I held back tears, but somehow they spilled. and I started to cry. the hug was joined by jughead and Kevin. today feels like a nightmare and I want to wake up from this nightmare. but at this moment I think I am in another world, I have never felt like this.
we all remain in that hug for a few minutes till the time Cheryl was calmed. we all go to pops. Cheryl and I sitting at one side and the boys sitting opposite us. and then I gathered the courage to say something because that silence was killing me. "I am so sorry Cheryl, about...Jason " I say genuinely. "it's ok betty, it's not your fault...and thank you for comforting me when no one did and sorry for how I treated all these years....jughead and Kevin sorry for how I treated." she says sniffling, I can't believe I am saying this but I could hear the genuinety in her voice so I decided to forgive her ." it's ok Cheryl you were hurting...and I think you are really sorry so I forgive you," I say smiling towards which made her also crack a small smile. "thank you I never would do that again" and then saw Kevin and jughead and I did the same. jughead sighed and said "some intelligent person said the weak seek revenge but strong forgive, and I think you do deserve forgiveness, " he said smiling and I smiled at him and Kevin said "I forgive you" and then we ordered a milkshake. And this was a start of a true friendship.
All this time I thought was Archie and veronica were my true friends, but actually, it was Cheryl, Kevin, and jughead. all the time in pops I could see jughead glancing towards me and this made me smile and his cheek would go deep red. Cheryl was doing better than before, and she was talking nicely to everyone. And now we all could see how broken she really is especially after her brother's brutal death. she is abused by her parents and her brother used to protect her but now she is all alone, but we promised her to always be by her side. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
HEY, GUYS SO I KNOW I MADE A DIFFERENT CORE FOUR, BUT I ALWAYS WANTED CHERYL AND KEVIN TO BE A PART OF CORE FOUR. AND MY STORY IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS. SO IF YOU DON'T LIKE KEVIN AND CHERYL IN CORE FOUR IN THIS STORY THEN DON'T READ. BTW IN THE NEXT CHAPTER, THE NEW CORE FOUR WILL MEET THE LOSERS CLUB. AND I ALSO KNOW THAT IT CHAPTER 1 AND RIVERDAL'S TIMELINE IS EXTREMELY DIFFERENT, BUT HEY THIS IS FANFICTION SO EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE. SO PLZ VOTE. BYE
