Riverdale, a town with pep. A sweet, small, innocent town when everyone knows everyone.A town where people are there for each other, with the perfect family, perfect life, perfect jobs. But when you take a closer look the shadows become visible. Somethings are only visible when you take a closer look. and that's what Riverdale is. where the town is divided into two parts, the perfect northside with people with the perfect life and then comes the southside filled with misfits, college dropouts, gangs, drugs, and much more. There has always been a civil war between the northsiders and the Southsiders. The northsiders have always despised the Southsiders. We could say the same about the Southsiders, but no one knew that something really horrifying was going to happen in the future.

BETTY POV:
I was really excited, tonight I was going to meet Archie after All summer. Well for your information, Archie is my best friend we met each other at pre-school since then we were best friends, there was one more boy name Jughead Jones all three of us were best friends, Almost like the golden trio of harry potter. We did everything together. But when we started to grow older our group started to fall apart. I and Archie started to grow closer and closer. while jughead started to became more silent and personal. And finally, we stopped talking. At school we sometimes share glances and smiles but never talk I feel bad because I want to talk but do not know how to start a conversation first, yeah I suck at it, and apparently, jughead does too. So moving on I always had a crush on Archie and today I was going to tell him my feelings one of many reasons contributing to my excitement. I wanted to look perfect today so I called Kevin, my GBF(gay best friend) to come over and help me pick an outfit for tonight. "Kevin what should I wear, I am so confused!!" I asked worriedly.
"god, betty calm down! be yourself, If Archie likes you he would accept you the way you are," he replied calmly.
"ok," I said. and picked dark blue jeans and a pink shirt and went to the bathroom to change.
"so, what do you think?" I asked him
"you look beautiful," he said with a reassuring smile
"Thanks," I said and sat in front of the mirror and put some light makeup on, and tied my hair in my iconic ponytail. BTW I don't really like my hair in a ponytail. It also causes headaches but if I leave my hair open my mom will lecture me for an hour . She is a lovely woman and I love her but she is really controlling and wants me to be perfect. But I am not and she knows it but forces me to put this facade.
"I am ready to go!" I said "good luck!!, call me when you get home I need the details," he said
"I will! , thank you" I said smiling
THIRD PERSON POV:
When betty reached Pop's chock'lit shopp ( Riverdale's only diner and get-together place. with delicious food and beautiful retro decor). She opened the door and saw Archie, he was smiling the same smile that would make her really nervous and her knees weak, and she felt the same right now. She greeted him with a cheery smile but feeling insanely nervous from the inside, she walked towards him "Hey betty!" he said "hey arch!!" she said with a hint of nervousness.
"Is everything okay?" he asked concerned "yeah, absolutely!!" she said
They ordered milkshakes and talked about junior year at school "You know I am writing some songs," he said "really ? I didn't know you were into music," she said, feeling stupid that she didn't even know this and calls herself his best friend, but it was not fully her mistake Archie had been really distant all summer. when she asked why, he said he was busy helping his dad, which she agreed to but somewhere inside her she was a bit suspicious that he was doing some shady stuff. but she let it go.
"yeah I really like playing music and for now your the only one I am telling this," he said she felt happy that he trusted her "so arch I was thinking about us our friendshi-" she was cut off by Archie looking behind her, when she looked behind she saw a beautiful, and well-dressed girl walk in pops, she looked at Archie who was looking mesmerized by her beauty and was constantly staring at her not paying any attention to what betty was saying. she felt a sudden wave of jealousy. the girl walked towards her and Archie's booth. betty had never seen her in the town so she assumed that she was new and rich from her dressing style." hey!" said Archie excitedly."hi" said that beautiful girl." my name is veronica lodge and I am new here, I came with my mom" veronica said ."oh! well welcome to Riverdale and I am Archie Andrews and this is -" "Betty, Betty Cooper" she cut Archie, showing them that she was also there especially Archie who was ignoring her since veronica walked in the diner." betty! hey, I think you suppose to give me-" "school tour, yes I'll give you the tour" she smiled which was fake, but she is an expert in giving fake smiles." hey do you wanna join us, " Archie said to veronica and betty's head shot up and stared Archie in shook, hoping that she'd say no because she doesn't want to feel ignored.
"oh, actually I am here with my mom and she is wanting in the car," she said and betty quietly sighed in relief ."oh-ok nevermind, I'll see you at school, "said Archie . "veronica lodge," said pop "bye Archie, bye Betty I'll see you guys at school," she said and went Archie kept staring at her like an idiot till she was out of the door, and then looked at Betty and said, "what were you saying?" "Nothing, "she said feeling really disappointed, and then after few minutes went home.
AT THE COOPERS:
"Mom I am home " betty shouted "here, honey," said Alice. betty went into the kitchen. "so where were you" her mom asked . "at pops with archie, I told you" she said. "oh, yeah, it just washed off my mind. but you are late you missed curfew." she said with a scolding voice . "by five minutes mom," said betty . "be it 5 minutes or fifteen, you have to be home on time, you know I do it only for your good , if you be a good girl, you'll never fail in life, you know that right?" Alice asked. "yeah mom, I won't be late next time." she said . "good, now off to bed," she said smiling sweetly. betty nodded and went straight to bed. ___________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________
