Everly POV:
Moving day - Out the front of house - Surrounded by friends and family
Connie: I just can't believe you're moving. These last 6 months have gone by so quickly!
Everly: I know! I wish I didn't have to go but this is great opportunity for my Dad.
Connie: Yeah, but I. don't understand why you have to go too.
As I was about to respond I get cut off by Luke, my boyfriend, pulling me into a secure hug.
Luke: How's my favourite girl today.
Everly: I've been better. I just really don't want to leave you guys.
Luke: Hey, hey, it's gonna be fine. We're gonna be fine.
He lifts my chin up and gives me a soft kiss on the forehead.
Chase: Ok well I hate to interrupt, but I thought you might like to know we are leaving in 5.
Everly: Ok, thanks.
Chase continues to lift boxes into the truck.
Connie: You better call me as soon as you get there.
Luke: And text me every night before you go to sleep.
Everly: I will, I will!! Now who wants to help carry my stuff to the truck?
Luke: Gladly.
Connie: Yeah I think I'm gonna stay right here.
Everly: lol ok.
I got my backpack and placed on the backseat of the car while Luke lifted the rest of my boxes into the moving truck.
Dad: Ok we're all set and ready to go!
Mom: New York City here we come!
Chase: You guys are so embarrassing.
Everly: They're having fun, leave them alone.
Chase: Ugh, whatever.
We got in the car and beeped the horn as we drove away. I didn't know how to feel. I was sad but excited. Nervous but confident. Only time would tell whether I would fit in or be stuck on the outside.
