After school - in her room - with Chase
Lydia POV
We were sitting on my bed, studying. I couldn't stop thinking about the other night and what Andy had said to me. I wanted it so badly to be true but was too afraid to show it. Chase and Lydia. Lydia and Chase. Chydia. Lace. It sounded good together. really good. I glanced at him. God he's cute. Ok, ok. Shoot your shot. It's not that hard. Just say 'Hey Chase, I just was wondering if you could ever think of me as more than a friend?' what the worse that can happen? He turns me down? So what!? Wasn't meant to be.
Chase: Lydia? You good?
Lydia: Hmm? Oh why wouldn't I be.
Chase: I'm not sure it's just that you had your thinking face on.
He knows my thinking face?
Lydia: Oh um actually. I was thinking.
Chase: About?
Lydia: You.
Chase: What?
Lydia: I like you Chase. I really, really like you. And I was thinking, hoping, you might feel the same.
Chase: Lydia...
Shit. Abort mission. I repeat abort mission.
Chase: Of course I like you. I more than like you. I've liked you since the second I saw you.
A tear ran down my cheek. Chase wiped it off. He leant in. Closer and closer until our lips met. Well there goes no simp September.
