Chapter eighteen~ We meet again

Y/n's POV
"Me and Nikki where sat in the floor of her flower shop and talking about random things. We had finished the tour about half an hour ago and decided to come to the shop as she needed to check the stock.
"So what about your shop? Like how did you start it?" I ask Nikki
"It's a long story I used to have a bakery actually" Nikki explained
"Ohhh I remember your bakery, at least I think I do. It was like a cave right?" I asked excitedly
"Yeah it was. What else do you remember?" She asked gently trying not to push my boundaries
"Not as much as I want to" I said trying to joke but was met with a small laugh then a tense silence "I have a question... about my memories or more specifically a person"
"Go a head, ask me anything. I'll try and answer as best as I can" Nikki encouraged
"Okay well there's this guy who I get memories of and he doesn't seem very nice but he seems so important to me" I pause taking in a deep breath "Schlatt?"
Nikki shudders at his name before letting out a sigh and turning around to face me and away from the flowers she was previously looking at. She looks at me for a moment or two almost like she's unsure wether to tell me or not.
"JSchlatt or just Schlatt was a ruthless dictating tyrant 'sighs' and you tried to protect everyone from him, and in return everyone helped you out after uhm well after he had his "private meetings" with you. Someone was always waiting for when you left the White House to help you home or back to my bakery." She explained softly refusing too make eye contact
"I...I don't understand I protected everyone how? What do you mean by "private meetings"?" I ask not knowing if I really wanted the answer or not.
"He would threaten to hurt me or Tubbo, sometimes Quackity I'm pretty sure he threatened everyone in Manberg at one time or another but he never hurt them you where always there to stop him and take the pain instead" Nikki looked like she was about to start crying "He once had a cabinet meeting and went to hit Quackity but you jumped in the way and took the punch. Schlatt was furious and immediately excused everyone but you from the meeting. No one saw you or Schlatt for almost three days when you finally came out you were covered in bruises and cuts and practically unconscious you passed out after a few steps but Karl and Tubbo where there and carried you to my bakery. Only you and Schlatt know what happened in there, you never told anyone but you were never the same after that. You didn't want to leave but almost every citizen of Manberg forced you too leave."
I looked at Nikki as tears silently rolled down her cheeks. But I wasn't thinking about that i was thinking about Karl and wondering about the thoughts that came too mind when I thought of him, I knew they where thoughts and not memories because there's no such thing as 'The lost city of Mizu' or 'The Inbetween' right?my thoughts where interrupted by a out of breath man? Cat? He looked a bit like how Fundy is with his ears and tail.
"Y/n thank goodness I've found you" he panted looking between me and Nikki
"You've been looking for me?" I question not really sure who this strange cat man is yet.
"Yes yes it's important" he says finally catching his breath back.
Nikki steps forward not convinced "what is it Ant?" She asks cautiously
"We can get your memory back" he says looking me dead in the eyes
The only problem with that is I don't know if I want it back.
—few hours earlier—
"The Egg needs her but I just don't understand why?" Bad sighed as paced around the room infront of Ant
"Maybe she knows something?" Ant suggests trying to calm his friend down
"What would she know! She doesn't even know her own family!" Bad cried
"Maybe Dream told her something?" Ant was confused on why he was so mad about this
"Then why are we after her and not Dream! I could go visit him see if he'll tell me anything. I know he hasn't had visitors in a while I'm sure he'd appreciate it maybe open up." Bad mumbled himself, thinking aloud.
"What if we got her memory back?" Any suggested whilst Bad continued numbering to himself before pausing, looking Ant in the eyes
"You take her too the egg, maybe grab Punz on the way. Her alone no one can be with her apart from you two not even Puffy. I'll visit Dream, even if he doesn't say anything to me it'll distract Sam from going too save her at least" Bad told him before walking off towards the prison.
"Well I guess we're doing that now then." Ant mumbled to himself before getting up and leaving Bad and Skeppy's mansion.

"Hi Bad, Skeppy! Long time,  no see, how have you guys been"
"We've been great what about you? How's the whole Schlatt rein thing going for you?"
"It's been... it's been eventful, very tiring but as long as we are all safe I don't mind"
"We heard about what happened the other day y/n."
"Oh uhm"
"Why don't you come to ours for a bit, you can stay there's as long as you need. I even baked muffins earlier!"
"Thank you for the offer but I can't. I have to go, I was just on my way back to uhm Manberg when I saw you guys. So talk to you guys later bye"
"Hey y/n wait a sec"
"Yeah Skeppy"
"Anytime of the day you can come to our house. Even if no ones there just let yourself in. Be safe."
"Thank You Skeppy."

"Y/n c'mon quickly there's not much time" Ant says grabbing my hand and pulling me up "just you." He tells me looking at Nikki
"No im coming with her" Nikki said confidently standing up too follow us
"You can't she has to do this on her own" Ant says still holding my wrist
"Alone?" I ask
"Yes alone trust me. Besides if you think something has happened to her come find me and kill me. Just trust me she'll be fine" and with that Ant pulls on my wrist and drags me out of the small flower shop and along the prime path
