Four | From the moment you jump down from the rooftop and land on the netting, Four will be the one to pull you up. His grip is strong as he pulls you to safety, and he'll make sure you've got your balance before letting go of you. His brown eyes are focused on yours as he checks to make sure you're okay from the fall, and although his expression is serious, you can tell he's attentive and concerned. As the group wonders off, he falls into step with you and asks you about yourself, what your name is and which Faction you're from originally and why it is you decided to join Dauntless. He says he's impressed by your courage, but that Dauntless will take some getting used to as an Initiate. Just before he leaves, he makes sure you know to talk to him if you need any help with anything. It's rare to have the support of an Instructor so early on, but something about you caught Four's attention and he'll look out for you.
Eric | From the moment Eric spots you on the roof before the jump, his gaze will linger on you for a moment too long, his blue gaze intense. He goes on to address the group, his deep voice loud and nonchalant, watching dispassionately as Initiate after Initiate starts to jump off from the rooftop and into the black abyss below. When it's your turn towards the end, Eric puts his hand on your arm to still you. He reminds you with an arrogant tone that real bravery is all in your head, and that's something you should keep in mind, before smirking and telling you to go ahead and show him what you're made of. He gives you the slightest of nods to gesture you forward as he falls back and observes you. He's already decided he'll be keeping a close eye on you.
Peter | From the moment you meet Peter on the rooftop, he's quick to make snarky remarks at the group and some snide jokes. His attempts to alleviate the tension don't mean he's trying to make any friends. When he notices your reaction, he looks taken aback for a second, and asks you if you have a problem - but nevertheless, goes quiet afterwards, biting back his commentary and settling on watching instead. Once you both made the jump, he throws quick glimpses at you, before introducing himself to you just before you enter the dorms. He seems to have taken his sarcastic comments down a notch and you could be excused for thinking he's making more of an effort - with you, and only you, apparently.
Will | From the moment you meet Will on the rooftop, his laid back attitude and quick wit helps you relax as you're given vague instructions as what to do next. Will murmurs over to you how high he estimates the jump to be, and what the group is likely to encounter on the way down, most probably some form of security contraption which isn't visible from this angle on the rooftop. He sounds so sure, that you can't help but relax the tension in your body a little bit; and of course, he's right. By the time the group has made it to the bottom and you've completed your jump, you fall in line next to him as you await your next instructions, and he gives you a small smile of encouragement and well-done.
Albert | From the moment you first see Al on the rooftop, you notice how much taller and broad-shouldered he is compared to the other guys in the group. Al keeps quiet and seems a little meek, and you can't help but root for him as he makes the jump into the dark abyss below you, before you in line. Once you make it down too, he's smiling from the adrenaline rush and nudges your arm with his, giving you a big grin, face glowing. He's still one of the shiest in he group but you start to relax around him, and quickly fall into conversation with him; you realise he's a great listener, and he seems to look up to you and enjoy your company.
