Four | Four will be discreet when it comes to helping you, although he'll always make sure you have help at hand. He'll keep an eye trained on you from a distance, under the guise of watching over you as instructor, and will carefully assess where your strengths and weaknesses lie, before stepping forward and quietly giving you tips and advice on how to improve - correcting your stance and even showing you what you're meant to be doing to get a head start. He'll look to nurture your talents as he sees potential in you, and can see you coming far in Dauntless if only you're showed the ropes and have someone looking after you during the process. Four will focus a lot on instilling a Dauntless mindset in you, taking the time to explain concepts and lifestyle differences, making sure you've understood everything, and answering any questions you may have. He wants you to do well, and becomes attached to you throughout the process of improvement.Eric | Eric will be strict and sometimes cruel as an instructor during the Initiation process, and once you catch his eye, he'll be even more scrupulous and demanding of you. He'll choose you for demonstrations, or for matches in front of the initiates, and more often than not put you on display - if you resent him: good, if you accept it and keep your mouth shut: even better. Eric wants to see exactly what you're made of, and showing attitude will unfortunately get you on his bad side... show a little more resistance by keeping quiet and see the silver-lining to him hand-picking you out of the group, and Eric will take a liking to you and be intrigued by your maturity. He will push you hard, put in being tough with you, will be him focusing his efforts and energies on bettering you and improving your performance. It's definitely tough love; but that toughness will definitely start to melt, and he'll start holding you in special consideration, and even thinking of you fondly whenever you show improvements. It might seem like you're becoming Eric's "pet project", but show your true colours, and Eric won't just see you as useful... he'll see you for you, and like you for it.
Peter | Unfortunately, you won't be able to rely on Peter too much during the Initiation process. Peter will mostly be focused on himself and getting through the Initiation process with the highest ranking he can manage, with little consideration to anyone else. As you begin to build a friendship though, with a lot of backwards and forwards, Peter will come to begrudgingly care for you after a long period of being curious about you and becoming drawn to you. He will silently look on from a distance, fighting with himself over feelings VS indifference. He will start to look out for you, warning Molly and Drew not to toy around with you too much, and biting out snarky remarks to anyone else who might target you. He might even taunt you/play around with you and point out your weaknesses and flaws in fighting, and how he's soooo much better, but it's all a tactic he's got going on so that when he eventually offers to train with you in the evening, after a full day of training, you'll say yes. If you do end up accepting, you might be surprised how helpful Peter actually turns out to be, although he'll be his snarky self and make sure to always come out on top, even if there's no instructors around to dish out points... however, it will be during these sessions that the physical tension might get a bit much, and you'll occasionally catch him with a dazed, soft expression on his face... or otherwise barely-concealed blush as he floors you and keeps you pinned underneath him to the fighting-ring mat.
Will | Will is open to helping you, and will think strategically how to do so without either of you getting in trouble. Though he might stand a better chance of ranking higher if he just stayed in his own lane... he can't help himself when it comes to you; he'd rather be comfortable in the knowledge you both made it through the process okay. He's quick to give you tips and advice on how to perform better, how to get a knack for understanding things faster and executing them better, and isn't opposed to sparring with you if you get matched together - how hard he fights you is exclusively down to the scoring system and how many points either of you has. Will's agile both in body and in mind, so you can always trust him to figure things out fast and take risks on your behalf, because you know he's honest and has both of your well-being in mind. That's not to say Will will go easy on you: he'll suggest training together, longer than other initiates, until you have the manoeuvres down to perfection and can spin out of trouble without hesitating or hurting yourself.
Al | Al would love to help you out with the Initiation process... but in all fairness, just how helpful he can be is questionable. He is mostly a huge help when it comes to moral support - he has your back, and unwavering belief and faith in your abilities, even when you might have times when you doubt yourself. Al sees your strengths, and is eager to point them out, sometimes even surprising you with how astute some of his insights can be.... Things you, and even your instructors, had overlooked, have space to flourish following Al's advice. For the rest though, Al would like to be more useful but he's got his own back to watch too, and make sure he keeps afloat with the rankings. If you were ever to be told to fight each other though, Al would flat-out refuse, even if it meant angering Dauntless instructors. Even if you felt like you both stand a good chance of scoring points and putting up a good fight, Al would be adamant not to have any involvement in it - just the thought of raising his lift in your direction makes him physically ill, and it wouldn't sit right with him being told to fight you, and hesitating to tap out. Perhaps not having to worry about competing with Al's brute strength is for the best though, and it is sweet to know Al would rather face punishment than come close to hurting you.
