What Is Hope To You? [Nagito x reader]

Collecting Hope Fragments.

I fell into a deep and peaceful sleep. 

Time skip

I woke up to someone nudging me again, My eyes fluttered open to see that it was still dark outside, I turned my head to see Nagito and everyone getting up from their seats.

"Have we arrived already?" I said with a yawn.

"Yeah, you actually fell asleep for about 2 more hours ahah." Nagito said nervously. I then remember the conversation we had before I went to sleep.  Oh, now I remember why it's awkward. Chiaki got up and looked at me. 

"Come on now, we've arrived. We should eat something then go to bed." She said. She looked half asleep like always. I nodded and got up, leaving my seat and getting off the coach like everyone else. 

It was snowing outside so I was pretty chilly, but I was fine since I was excited to see the hotel. Usami hopped off the coach as well and she scuttered ahead of us. She then turned around to face us.

"Make your way inside! We don't want you to freeze before having a happy hopeful time! I will take all the luggage from the compartments and I'll hand it over to you so that you have all your belongings. Go inside and wait in the lobby. " Usami then scuttered her way back in the coach. 

I and the rest of the students started to head into the Hotel. Hiyoko was the fastest person to get there so she opened the door. As soon as she opened the fancy glass door, she and Mahiru gasped in awe. I rushed over to see what they were looking at. I gasped as well. The inside of the hotel looked so posh and... modern. The floor was marble and it had multiple pillars. The front desk was also made out of marble and there were fancy chandeliers on the ceiling. There was even a red carpet laid out neatly next to the entrance. I looked to the left, there was a waterfall in the wall behind glass, I looked to the left, there were soft-looking leather sofas and a brown table in front. Some of the hotel workers were pushing those golden trolleys around, and there was also some chill background music playing. I looked at the huge golden clock on the wall. Damn it's only 1 AM. I looked at the others who were also admiring the hotel.

"Woahoh this definitely looks like a 5-star hotel doesn't it, Miss Sonia?" Kazuichi said with a sheepish grin. "Wait- I swear she was just here-"

"She's gone with Gundham, Kazuichi." Fuyuhiko said sternly.

"WHAAATTT? Why him?? What does she see in him but not in me?-"

"Maybe it's cause of his cute hamsters." I said, trying to lighten the mood. Kazuichi sighed and walked around, trying to find them both.

Usami arrived to the hotel with all the luggages dragging behind her, with Chiaki and Hajime's help. 

"Alright everyone, I'll check all of us in and I'll hand over your room keys. Then there will be a member of staff that will tell you all the rules and instructions. With that done, we'll eat dinner and head to bed, you are allowed to take a shower or bath if you wish." We all nodded and took a seat on the sofa. We all waited for our keys and instructions.

Once that was done I took my card key and the bag that had my name on it and walked into the elevator. Everyone else had gone into the first and second elevator but since me, Ibuki and Nagito was given our card key last, we were the last people to get there. Nagito and Ibuki walked into the elevator and Ibuki pressed the button that lead to the top floor. I stood in one corner, Ibuki was dancing infront of the mirror at the back and Nagito was standing near the elevator door. Ibuki started humming with the background music that was playing in the elevator and was patting her knees to the beat. She always looks so happy and optimistic. There were 20 floors so it took a while. Ibuki stopped dancing and looked at me, and then Nagito. She kept doing that until she groaned and said, "Why're you guys sooooo quietttt!! C'mon say something you two!" Nagito chuckled and said,

"Well, what do you want us to say?" 

"Anything! Absolutely anythingggg" She groaned. Nagito started chuckling again and looked back at the elevator door. The door finally opened and we all got out. We saw Nekomaru in the distance laughing with Akane and Sonia. Ibuki started running towards them and joined in. I walked down the hallway, trying to look for my door number.

"2026... 2026... 2026..." I muttered to myself. I looked ahead and saw that Chiaki and Hajime were also searching for their door numbers. I felt a soft tap on my shoulder, it was Nagito. "Hm?"

"Let me see your room number." He said with a soft smile. I smiled to myself and handed him my card key. "Oh! 2026. Mine is 2127" I nodded and took back my card key. "Don't you find this whole trip idea absolutely wonderful? In my worthless opinion, I think it's absolutley amazing. Starting off the first year of Hopes Peak Acadmey with a one month residential trip for the new students to bond and create hopeful friendships, or relationships. A relaxing, and hopeful start of our first year don't you think?" He asked. 

"Yeah, I think it's pretty relaxing." I said with a yawn. 

"Oh look- it's your room number." He said while pointing to a door. I looked in that direction, he was right. I turned back to him and waved. But I noticed that his door was sorta opposite mine. 

"Look, isn't that your door number as well?" He turned back and gave a little chuckle. 

"Yeah you're right haha, to have my room near yours is quite lucky don't you think?" I flushed a little. "Oh! Not in that way of course haha" 

"What way?" I said curiously. He shook his head.

"Nevermind, anyway goodnight, y/n." He said before unlocking his door and closing it. I yawned and swiped the card key. The door next to mine opened. Chiaki's head popped out. 

"O-oh you almost scared me Chiaki..." I said with a nervous giggle. She giggled too and yawned.

"Looks like we're neigbours, y/n." I smiled and nodded. "Anyway... time to play street fighter two, goodnight." She yawned again and closed the door. Damn, she's falling asleep but she still wants to play games. She really is the ultimate gamer. I opened my door and gasped silently. 

The room was so big, and had a huge window view and a huge fluffy bed. I walked in and closed the door. I turned on the bedside lamp and turned off the lights. I walked towards the huge window and admired the view. I placed my bag on the table below the huge TV and opened the bathroom door. "Damn, even the bathroom looks fancy as heck-" I said, while admiring the marble floor and fancy shiny tiles. I yawned once again and opened my bag. I took my toothbrush out and brushed my teeth with the expensive toothpaste provided by the hotel. After that, I changed into my pj's that were also in my bag and went into bed Usami said something about collecting Hope Fragments... Oh well, I guess we'll learn more about that tomorrow...
