Harry
"Woo-hoo!" Harry yelled at the wind. The Weasley twins were tailing him and he was picking up speed, feeling incredible balance that made him feel at rest. The wind whooshed around him and he felt an immense gladness at the feeling of disobeying gravity.
Happy thoughts sped in his mind like delighted birds. Ever since he had learnt about magic, he had been able to make marvellous memories. Ignoring the few scary things that was at Hogwarts that is.
The first thing which popped to mind was Draco Malfoy. True, he had mixed feelings about him. Still there was nothing that made him look more forward to every new day at Hogwarts. Draco was a challenge that often frustrated him. He felt drawn to the adorable looking devil, warm from his sudden kindness. Draco sometimes would not turn off the lanterns in their room until Harry returned to the dorms. Other times, Draco would keep the lights off and remain awake waiting, but fake that he was sleeping. Harry's habitual walking around the Dursley's house at night time made him trained to know when somebody was asleep, and Draco's heavy breathing exposed him as awake every time.
Draco would also offer him sweets that he had received from his mother, as well as let him play with some of his magical items. He had given Harry a deluminator because of Draco's promise that he would give him it if they couldn't return to the dorm room in time from their escapade. Among his collection that Harry had seen were auto-answer quills for cheating on exams, a Foe-glass (something which showed you the whereabouts of one's enemy). He also since recently had a collection of Remembralls - a magical item Harry learnt about because Draco had seemed fascinated by Neville's Remembrall but of course Harry told him to give it back, which Draco listened to reluctantly. After that incident Draco sent a letter to his father to bring him some, so his father sent him twelve, and Draco was happy. Draco also had a jar of Hippogriff feathers and a pint of Phoenix Blood.Which reminded him of two things: the thing they had seen between the Professors, and the Mirror of Erised.
The memory of the Mirror won out, and Harry with a renewed sense of pride exaggerated a leap out of Ron's way. Ron continued to tail him, and Harry swerved and hid behind the clocktower.
Harry's breathing was showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, it was rising as he blushed at Draco saying that he could see the two of them married.
Harry let himself be engulfed by a quick thought about how it would be if he and Draco was married. Would they look at each other the same way that he had seen his parents look at each other?"Gotcha!" called George. Harry watched him approach, and just as he was about to snatch the ball, Harry zoomed away.
"Dammit, Harry, you sure are agile."
"Wow, that was incredible, Harry. This is your first time on a broomstick and you're so fast."
"You should join us in Blind Eagle some day," said Fred, "I can tell you've got some natural talent."
"Blind Eagle is dangerous, Harry. You probably shouldn't take them up on that offer."
"See you Harry then. We did say we had to do some of our own Christmas decorating."
"You'll all be staying here for Christmas then?" asked Harry.
"Yes, I assume we both are. What is it you wanted to tell me about Snape and Quirrel?"
Harry told him all he knew or thought he knew about the mysterious tension between Snape and Quirrel. He was about to mention the little parcel Hagrid had mysteriously been holding, but thought it wasn't too important to mention it again.
"How about the parcel you told me about?" asked Ron, "do you think it had anything to do with that?'
"No, I don't think there's anything to be sure about. And I don't know if the mirror had anything to do with it either, now that I think of it."
"You did say the room contained a whole bunch of artefacts. It could be that Snape is after anything in that room. Maybe the room itself."
"I thought we already agreed that Snape isn't the one that brought the troll in," Harry raised an eyebrow.
"He is the most suspicious person," said Ron.
"Ron, you're the one that told me that after Quirrel 'fainted' you saw him get up and hurry towards a staircase in the opposite direction that Snape went. That is suspicious enough."
"I'm starting to think that he was going after Snape. Maybe I was wrong about Quirrel."
"Well. Where does that leave us?"
"At a disagreement. And, really, there's no point in discussing this anymore, anyways. Snape is way too frightening for me to do anything about him. It would be a very different story if we had any evidence. Even just speaking about it, I can hardly convince myself that there is much chance that either of the professors are planning to endanger people at Hogwarts. Yes, they're definitely feuding between each other, but for all we know, it could be something only between them."
