Harry

Harry was surprised and glad that Draco didn't push any of the blame onto him. Even though he knew that he had broken a school rule in sneaking out with Draco to the Room of Requirements, Draco explained that he had only did it because of him. Harry didn't exactly think that Draco convincing him to break a school rule made him a terrible influence. Actually he had quite an adventure from it.

There was the whole mess about Draco stealing the Mirror of Erised, but Harry didn't spend too long thinking it over as his infections soared from the frostbite. Madam Pomfrey spent an hour trying to correct these until he said he felt better. He still had to wear extra layers of warm clothing otherwise he felt too cold.

"How are you doing there, Dray?"

"Pretty good. I can leave the infirmary after tonight. You?"

"Let's share body heat."

"Pardon?"

"Let's share a bed tonight."

Draco didn't need to be told a third time. He grabbed his blanket and shuffled next to Harry. Their sides pressed next to each other.

"Thanks for sticking up for me in front of the professors."

"Of course," said Draco. Harry felt like he sounded stiff.

"Why do you sound uncomfortable?"

"It just feels weird like this," Draco laughed.

"It's not weird," said Harry but he smiled broadly anyway. He turned in bed to face Draco, and ran his fingers through Draco's platinum blonde hair, "Actually, you're alright."

Harry noticed Draco's cheeks brighten and he blushed a tiny bit himself at seeing that.

"Your hand..."

"What about it?"

"Your hand is cold," said Draco. Draco took Harry's hands and rubbed them in his, blowing warm air at them.

"Will your father punish you for getting in trouble?"

"He used to," laughed Draco, "when I was younger. He used to do a lot of Rictusempra which was horrible because I'm deadly ticklish. Or ground me in my room with a boggart. Boggarts are fun to play with when you get the hang of it. I was one of the kids that knew how to use wands, so I'd keep one with me that I got from a disposal. Wands that belonged to wizards that died natural deaths are usually safe for anyone to use. Father didn't know I had a few of them, so he also didn't know that the boggarts didn't affect me. Anyways he doesn't punish me anymore, but he's, well, scarier these days."

"How is he scarier?"

"Well, he puts a bunch of caterwauling charms all around the Manor in places I'm not allowed to enter. They're not easy to undo. If any one of the alarms go off, he gathers us all and lectures about how the Dark Lord is coming and that we should only listen to his instructions and not try to interfere. I have never attempted to undo any of those charms, I don't want to enter any of those creepy rooms with boggarts and other creatures."

"I'd rather sleep outdoors if that was a house I had to live in," said Harry with some thought. He thought of his own living, where he had to sleep in a stuffy area under the stairs. From the sour expression on Draco's face, the Malfoy Manor seemed to be unhomey enough as well.

"True," breathed Draco, leaning forward. He rested his head on Harry's shoulder.

"What exactly are you doing now?"

Draco wasn't sure either. He wasn't cuddling him. He wasn't in any cuddling mood. He just felt happier with Harry close by and from hearing his voice.

"Body heat really does help," yawned Harry. The contagious yawn also made Draco yawn. Both of them turned on their sides and Draco turned out the lamp near them.

When they awoke, Harry found himself clinging onto Draco from behind, his arms snaking around Draco's stomach. It was still quite early so he didn't bother to move his arms away yet. His fingers felt nearly warm enough to move, and a lot less numb than they had been just a few hours ago. Harry was thankful for Draco's proximity.

The back of Draco's head rested onto Harry's chest and Harry was not bothered by the weight of him. In fact he felt like the pressure of Draco's weight was his responsibility, so seeing that he had asked him to sleep together, this meant he had to bear Draco's sleeping position for now.

It made him smile actually. He was reminded of the other time that they shared a bed. He had woken up to Draco's arms wrapped around him and him not letting go. Harry was embarrassed that time, and he was also this time, although a bit less because he really needed the warmth.
