This one is inspired by the movie/book Flipped. I love it, it's so wholesome. If you haven't seen it I definitely recommend. Mad I never got to see them be endgame though. Anyways this is a short one from Julie's POV. Enjoy!

Harsh were the sounds
Of the van that came 'round
Dropping off your things right down the street

Just one glance at you
In that moment I knew
That you and I were destined to meet
Pulling the weight of
Our friendship had paid off
'Cause I got to say that I knew you

Sad were the days
That you pushed me away
But at least I could say that I knew you
I really thought that I knew you

To admire from high up that sycamore tree
To hoping that you felt the same way about me
My blind optimism perfected your flaws
But the way you pretended deserved an applause

You don't think.
You don't care.
You don't gaze, you just stare
Can't rely, never there
You're clueless, unaware
Pity me, don't you dare.

I know better
Deserve better
I know better
But I don't know you

Not in the way that I used to
Not in the way that you want me to
Not the boy from the sycamore tree
But the boy who left me...
Flipped.
