After what felt like an eternity of bargaining, paired with a little help from her astoundingly persuasive aunt Davina, Arabella finally convinced her father to let her leave the boarding school; her new chapter was about to begin and she was itching to turn the page.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" she squealed with excitement, jumping into her father's embrace "I love you so much!" Nik chuckled wrapping his arms around her, something about seeing her face plastered with such an ecstatic expression warmed his heart. "I love you too, sweetheart"
Admittedly, Arabella didn't see her father as much as she would have liked, he was often away preserving the safety of their family, he was honestly a great parent. She had always been her father's daughter, the pair got along like a house on fire and although he wasn't in Mystic Falls too often, he had never faultered to answer his daughter's calls, regardless of whether she needed support or just wanted to hear his voice, he was there.
Always and Forever.
After pulling away from her father, Arabella immediately grabbed her phone, facetiming her aunt back in New Orleans. "Belle!" Davina and Kol called in unison from the other end of the phone, "How did it go? Did he give in?" Davina chirped, Nik's lips tugging onto his lips noticing his brother was just as invested in their scheming as the girls were. "He said I can go D!" she giggled, pulling her father into the camera frame.
"That's great Belle, we're proud of you, you managed to get the most stubborn man of the millenium to cave in" her uncle Kol added "where do you want to go?"
Arabella thought for a second before answering, "Beacon Hills, It's a small town in California, Aunt Freya thought it could be a nice, quiet new start for a while. Maybe I could visit your summer house in San Fransico too-" "Yes!" Davina cut her off "Absolutely one thousand times yes Belle we're going to have so much fun!"
The four of them continued to chat for a while before hanging up to go pack her bags and prepare. Arabella loved Davina, she was so kind and understanding, the two were best friends without a shadow of a doubt, something they both treasured dearly.
By 6:30, Nik had left whilst Arabella made her way to her sisters room. They were always close, Hayley had made a point to raise the girls together allowing them to bond and aid eachother without question.
She knocked on the door, sitting down on the corner of her bed explaining her exciting news whilst Hope listened intently, a toothy grin on her face. "I'm so happy for you!" Hope returned, she knew her sister had longed for this moment and had supported her wishes since the beginning, even if it meant they would be apart.
After spending the rest of the night chatting and finishing up filling suitcases to the brim ready for the departure, the two decided for their last night together, they would invite their closest friends to the dorm ordering pizza and making a fort like they used to.
The Saltzman twins were the first to arrive, both Caroline and Ric were already aware Arabella was itching to start her own journey so naturally became the first people informed after her family of course.
Lizzie and Josie had always been friends with the two, regardless of petty rivalries from time to time, they enjoyed eachothers company and would willingly admit Arabella's constant pressance would be missed and they wanted to embrace it.
So thats exactly what they did. The teenagers chatted all night long, watching a few of their favourite movies in the process. They even had their own little photoshoot, although many of the photos were of them laughing so hard they could barey stand, they had fun.

By the time the sun rose, Arabella knew it was time for her to leave. Part of her scheme with Davina involved a flight the next day, partially because they knew she would want to leave as soon as possible, but also to that her father couldn't alter his decision before the flight.
Her dad drove her to the airport, after a sweet goodbye to her friends and teachers, she hoped into the car, tapping her foot with anticipation.
The car ride was full of chatter, there was never a dull moment with the Mikaelsons. She jumped from the passanger seat, laching onto her dads arm knowing it was unlikely she would see him for a while, only to be greeted by her family. They all stood there, Uncle Kol with D, Elijah with his arm graspung her mother's lovingly, Freya and Keelan with excited grins on their faces. Although Aunt Bekah was unable to make it, Marcel made sure she was on facetime so she could join them in waving her niece off.
It was a sweet gesture and Arabella loved suprises. She engulfed them all into a tight embrace. They were a family. No matter the bickering, the fights, anything, they were fiercely loyal to the end.
After some teary goodbyes, or rather 'see you later's' as Arabella preferred to refer to them as, she suffocated herself in her parents arms, both of them responding with a tight squeeze. "We love you Ari, you'll make us proud" her mother whispered sweetly into her ear whilst her father hummed agreeing. "And remember no boys!" he cheekily added earning a light slap from Hayley as they pulled away.
She was finally doing it, she hoped onto the plane with a spring in her step.
"Beacon Hills, here I come" she muttered to herself, smirking, before relaxing into her compelled first class seat, curtesy of her over the top uncle Elijah.
