As three obnoxiously loud thuds sounded from the hallway, Bella furrowed her brows. "What the hell?"

Honing in on a faint heartbeat, she advanced forward, desperate breaths filling her ears as her hand reached the door handle.

"Ty?!"

Leaning against the door frame, there stood the brown-skinned hybrid. His face morphed into that of both exhaustion and discomfort as he struggled to hold himself up. "Hey Bella." He breathed out with a faint smile.

"Woah woah woah!"

Unable to support his own weight, the immortal fell forward into the arms of one of his best friends. Incredibly alarmed, she took hold of his arms, hauling him into the centre of her living room as she slammed the door with her foot.

He laid flat on his back, panting heavily as his lungs longed for more strength. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." He managed to choke out, gesturing to his grey shirt, which had now soaked into a deep red shade.

"What do you- Oh my god.." Ari baffled, staring down with wide eyes as she tore open his shirt for easier access to the wounds. His skin writhed uncomfortably, the wounds almost festering. It wasn't a pretty sight. "You're not dying on me today T. This is going to hurt." She warned sternly, cringing as she plunged her hand into the crevice within his chest. "Gross."

He groaned in agony as his face scrunched. She retrieved a wooden bullet. Twisting it between her fingers, an iridescent purple gloss coated the blood stained timber. "Wolfsbane." She spoke bitterly as she placed the object on the table beside her. "Be right back."

Rushing back to her place, she returned with some make shift equipment, including a bowl to collect the objects.

As the last splinter was torn from his body, Bella sighed triumphantly. She took a luke warm cloth, dabbing it carefully around the wounds, which were reluctant to heal immediately due to the wolfsbane. "How the fuck do you even get into this situation?"

As he opened his mouth to speak, she cut him off completely. "And I mean the real story T, not some made up one to make you look cool."

She smiled as he closed his mouth again, pursing his lips before huffing. "Fine."

The boy went on to explain how he'd been ambushed by a group of hunters on his way back into town. Fortunately above all, his quest to figure out the rumours surrounding his tribrid friend were partially successful. Though neither could decipher if that was comforting or terrifying.

"There's a coven of advancing witches making their way here, they're gonna make a move anytime now."

Arabella's facial expression dropped, before the corners of her lips picked up into a smirk. "They already did dumbass. We took care of it."

"At least I can figure out who has bad intentions from now on?" He tried to pull a positive as the tribrid gave him a dead stare, realising his mistake.

Swinging it back slightly, she took her right hand, connecting it to his left cheek with a vicious force. "Ow! What was that for?!"

"For scaring the living hell out of me like ten minutes ago! If you feel like dying, please avoid doing it in my apartment from now on." Sarcasm clearly evident towards the end of her sentence.

He rubbed his cheek dramatically. A complete juxtaposition to his attitude with deadly weapons lodged in his chest. Men, so complicated.
