Chapter 12: Jesy and the Girls

Jesy's POV

"You know that you're alone with the girls this weekend right?", Claude asks walking in my room. "What?", I propping myself up. Perrie laid on my chest, content breaths coming from her nose as she suckles gently in her pacifier and Jade and Leigh both take a side of my body to cuddle into. "I'm going on a trip, me and the boys have a performance.", he answers. "Ok. I'm with the girls all the time.", I say trying to fall back to sleep. "Wrong. I'm usually with all the girls and I have a schedule.", he says handing me a piece of paper. "And what happens if this schedule isn't followed?", I chuckle. "Perrie will drive you crazy, Jade will stick to your leg, and Leigh will eat everything.", he answers.

"Leigh doesn't even eat.", I say. "I meant more so in the sweets department. She learned how to knock the lock off the cabinet.", he says. "I thought it was you.", I say. "Hush.", he says. "But you can go. I'll follow your little schedule.", I say. "You're already breaking it. They should be up and fed.", he says pulling me up. Perrie rolls onto the bed and and Leigh and Jade cuddle up to her. "I've already made them breakfast.", he says picking up Perrie and putting her in her chair. He shakes her awake and points her attention to the food before going to get the other two. He sits them in their chairs and puts their plates in front of them before sitting a bottle of juice and two sippy cups in front of the respective girls.

When Jade and Leigh are in their headspace they drop literally everything so we got them the cups that only allow the liquid to pass through when you tilt it and Perrie got her usual bottle. She had a blue bottle and Leigh and Jade have a purple and green cups. "Can you handle all three of them by yourself?", he asks as he walks up to the door. "I've done it before Claude. I'll be fine.", I say waving him off. "Fine, I'll see you Monday morning.", he says walking out the door. I make myself coffee and sit down on the couch and turn on the tv. I look down at the schedule and see that it's time for their bath.

"Come on you two. It's bath time.", I say walking back in. Perrie usually goes last because she likes to play with bubbles so I get Leigh and Jade done quicker because they just sit there and cooperate. I grab the two some lounge wear and sit it in the bathroom before going downstairs to get them. "Your hair is good enough.", I shrug tying Jade's mess of curls into a loose bun. I do Leigh next and sit them in the bath together. "You two play while I get Pez's stuff ready.", I say putting the basket of bath toys in with them. I grab Perrie a set of lounge wear that's donut themed and set it on my bed before quickly going back to the two playing with a rubber duck.

"Did you wash?", I question. They both nod their heads and I know they wouldn't lie to me so I wrap them in their warm fluffy towels and help them get dressed before sending them off to brush their teeth and wash their faces. "Hello my little bumblebee.", I say stroking her cheek. She giggles and places her hand on top of mine making me smile. "Come on, let's go take a bath.", I say letting her hop on my back. I grab her shorts and shirt and make a new batch of bath water and set her in it. "Not too hot?", I question. She shakes her head and plays with some of the water rings as I wash her hair. She's very easy in the bath, the only time she's not is when we're in a rush because she likes to play. The rings seemed to be doing a good job in keeping her distracted though so it's all good.

After drying her hair and getting her dressed, I let her waddle off to do whatever she wanted to do. I look at Claude's schedule and see that playtime is up next and sigh. "Leigh, Jade, in the playroom. Go and have fun.", I say tossing a ball in there for them to chase after. Leigh pushes Jade out of her way and the two of them fight their way into the room as I grab Perrie's toys and turn on my show. Perrie sits in her play area playing with foam blocks because her and regular ones couldn't be trusted together. Claude still had the scar from when Perrie got upset that her castle fell and decided to throw one. The though makes me chuckle from how in pain he was. I'd given Perrie extra dessert that night. I look at Claude's list and see that it's almost time for lunch and get started on making them something simple, canned chicken noodle soup because I know they didn't care what they ate.

Three bowls, two smaller than the other one, for Leigh and Jade who didn't eat as much, gets filled with soup. I put plates under them with a few cut up strawberries and bottles of water by their sides. By the time it's done cooling, it's time for them to eat. Perrie was already sitting at the door when she heard me call for her startling me slightly before helping her up into her chair. She sways when she eats so we got her a tray so she wouldn't fall. "I'm gonna go and get the other two. Don't touch their bowls Perrie.", I say. She gives me an innocent smile but I can see the mischief swirling in her eyes. I open the door to the girls playroom and the sight that greets me is more familiar that you'd think.

The two wrestling over a toy that I'm sure we have another version of, hence the reason we have multiple toy chests and baskets. And by wrestling I mean them using defensive techniques and not attacking ones because they don't want to hurt each other. The entire room is padded, even the bookcase because they go far for their toys. "Girls.", I say catching their attention. Jade lets go and Leigh falls to the floor before walking out and into the kitchen. Basically everything is color coded for the girls. Green for Leigh, purple for Jade, and blue for Perrie. It kept everything simple and organized. They eat lunch, Perrie finishing first. It's more free time for them so I let them all go off and do their own thing.

Leigh and Jade decide to lounge in the couch, watching whatever is on and Perrie goes off to color. Even in her headspace she still makes really nice pictures just like when she's big. She had chosen a dog coloring book, stopping on a pug and getting all the different shades of brown coloring pencils. I sit down in between Jade and Leigh and turn to some random Disney cartoon and they lay their heads on my lap. The two on my lap fall asleep quickly and Perrie waddles over to show me her pug. It looks very realistic and I'm sure that when she comes out of her headspace she'll make it look even better.

"Good job penguin.", I say tickling her sides. "Why don't you go do another one?", I suggest. She thinks about it for a second and flips pages before stopping on a Pomeranian. With a small hum she waddles over to her table. We noticed that she chewed on the tops of her coloring pencils some times with coloring so we got her chews that went on top so she didn't get wood shavings in her mouth. She puts back her brown color pencils and gets all the yellow and gold ones. I leave her to it as Claude calls. I slowly lift up Jade's head and reach into my pocket to grab it and accept the video call. "Hey Jes. We just got out of rehearsals and I decided to call.", he says as he pops into the camera. "It's free time for the girls so Leigh and Jade are napping and Pez is coloring.", I say.

"Have they been behaving?", he asks. "Yeah you know they're angels. I was actually thinking about going to the arcade with them before dinner.", I answer. "They'd love that. Just remember to get the dimming glasses for Jade and noise canceling headphones for Leigh.", he says. "What do you usually make for dinner?", I question shooting Perrie a smile when she turns back to look at me. She gives me a small giggle and goes back to coloring. "Something that's easy and would fill up the other two since they don't each much. Maybe you'll find something on your way back from the arcade.", he answers. "Alright. I'm gonna start getting them ready. I'll talk to you later.", I say. "Alright, later.", he says hanging up.

I gently shake awake Leigh and Jade. "Do you girls wanna go play some games at the arcade?", I question gently rubbing Leigh's stomach to wake her up more. Jade makes mix of a groaning and a humming sound as I start to rub her side before nodding slowly. "Periwinkle, do you wanna go to the arcade and play all the games?", I question. She lets out an excited squeal and starts babbling to herself. I toss Jade and Leigh each a pair of jeans and help Perrie change into hers. I grab the bag for when we go out and lead them to the car. They all slide into the back and I help them buckle in before sliding into the drivers seat. "Let's go have fun girls.", I say.
