              •{JADA}•

It's been three days since I've last seen Elijah. He had contacted me at least two-hundred times. He's even visited my own job. I tried hiding and I fail miserably every time. I once went grocery shopping at a food market and his arrival was unexpected.

I was picking up mangos, trying to search for any that were ripe. I stop in my tracks when I catch him step out of a limo. He held onto roses and a basket. His eyes sparked and glimmered with compassion. His gaze compelled me to fall into his arms but I didn't.

I couldn't.

But I can't think of that, I have my debut tonight. My first ever fashion show. I had called my family and they tried to make it. But due to the flight leaving at an unexpected time, they couldn't. I was sadden by the misfortune but the show must go on.

I was nervous and afraid. Usually when I needed to go up onto the runway. Elijah would hold me for five minutes for good luck and then he would give me three kisses. Two on my cheeks and one on the mouth. Yes, it didn't help as much but it did make me swoon.

All I have is myself to cheer up and Kadence has been trying to have an input. She's been blasting her lucky song, Do it by Chloe and Halle. It did help. I was more hype than scared.

I slipped on my first outfit, which thank god fit. The room was crowded with crew and models. Everyone yelled at each other for directions. It was chaotic and overbearing.

"You have five seconds, Campbell."

I nod as the makeup crew fixed up a few details. My breathed out, calming my nerves. I could not think negative thoughts but I did repeat — I can do this.

"You got this mama," Kadence says, strolling into the backstage. She kisses my cheek as she rushes back to the dressing area.

"Alright, Miss. Campbell. You ready?"

I smile and nod, straightening out my suit.

I walk onto the runway, giving a slight smirk. I did the same motion as always — foot after foot. I body movement sync to the up beat song. Eyes of the audience caught onto my hips that swayed slightly. I kept eye contact with the audience giving them a sense of confidence and domination.

My outfit sparkled under the spotlights. My skin glowed from how contemplative I was about my daily skin routine. The golden body liquid the makeup crew had smothered over my body, glistened. I looked like a goddess... hell I felt like a goddess.

I posed, lightly sticking my hip to audience. The crowd clapped and cheered when I gave them life and gorgeousness. They were living for my look.

After leaving the stage, I roamed it three more times. I was tired and exhausted. The lights heat caused a heat wave. Goosebumps rose upon my skin and a small amount of sweat trickled down my body. Luckily it didn't affect my smell.

After the runway, I packed up my stuff to go home. As I reach outside, I am stopped in my tracks. My mother, father, and younger sister stood in front of our family van. I squealed and rushed into their arms. I smiled smelling the scent of lavender and jasmine. It was the aroma of my childhood home. Their hug gave off a warm heartfelt aura. It was what I needed.

But how?

How did this happen?

"Mom."

"Dad."

"Jas."

I held their hands together, fighting the urge to cry.

"How did you get here?"

Steps echoed behind me. I turned to an unexpected stranger. Just when I make eyes with him, water works happen.

"Baby?"

Elijah nodded as his eyes filled with water.

"This man here paid for our tickets and placed us in one of his condos." My mother cooed.

"Is that true, Elijah?"

He nodded, crossing his arms. His muscles peeked through the cotton material.

Then and there I couldn't reject my feelings. I had to express them. I jumped into his arms, repeatedly peeking his lips.

"Elijah, thank you so much."

He knew how much I've missed my family. It kind of saddened me capturing Elijah have his. I wanted a piece of that. For him to do this, made me feel loved and wanted. It made me feel that he wanted me and nothing could stop him.

"I miss you so much. Please, I beg of you to never let me go. Stay with me."

I nodded, capturing his lips in a long life drenching kiss.  I pulled away, panting.

LATER THAT NIGHT

Elijah took me and my family home. He wanted this night to be special, so he made my favorite — butter chicken and rice.

My mother and father helped him out in the kitchen whilst my sister and I set the plates.

My sister whispers to me. "You're dating Elijah King and you didn't tell me?"

I chuckled to myself and smirked. "Yes, I didn't mean to keep it a secret from you guys. I just wanted to see if it would get serious."

"Did it?"

I think to myself as my gaze drifted to Elijah. He smiled and laughed from a silly dad joke my father says. My mother shakes her head whilst mixing the sauce.

I knew it was getting serious. I think I was falling in l-.

"Hey, can you hand me the plate your gripping on?"

I laugh and hand her it.

"You've been out for a second. You good?"

I nod and yelp when large arms wrap around me. Elijah's expensive cologne engulfed my body. I breath in the scent feeling a sense of desire and wanting.

"I'm so happy to meet your parents."

"It seems they're happy to see you as well."

"Oh and you did amazing at the fashion show. Atta girl."

I spin his arms, looking into his eyes.

"I'm happy to have you."

My sister gagged at the scene, disrupting our lustful eye lock. I roll my eyes, kissing Elijah's cheek. He laughs, releasing me.

My mother and father join us at the dinner table.

The only person I wish could be here was Maya. My family would've loved her.

I'm knocked out of my train of thought when my mother calls for me. We began to eat as the table roared with laughter and conversation.

This is what I want forever. With Elijah.
