Chapter 3 ❥

One month later

Over the summer, you and Asahi became quick friends. You texted almost every day and could talk about just about anything. A lot of the time, at lunch instead of calls with Sara you talked to Asahi. Once the school year started you'd be a third year and new first years would be accepted into the school.

It was now the end of the day and Asahi, like usual, was walking you to your car after practice. "Are you ready for the tournament coming up?" You asked. "Yeah, the team's doing pretty good, I'm kind of nervous though because we didn't do as well in the practice games." He said rubbing the back of his neck, "I think you guys will do good, plus you've had time to improve since practice team. And there's no need to be nervous you're a great Ace." You encouraged.

"Yeah we just have to get past that 'Iron Wall' if we make it that far." Asahi sighed. On instinct, you grabbed his hand, "Stop stressing you guys will do well, but if you need some encouragement if you don't do well I'll beat your ass until you're blue." He laughed "Gee thanks Y/N." You saw him look down at your hands with blush and you would have too if it wasn't for your beautiful melanin.

Getting embarrassing you let go, "I'll text you later, make sure you answer the damn phone." Man bun smirked. "Yeah yeah, I'll talk to you later big guy." You then got in your car and headed home.

Asahi's POV

I'm not gonna lie I really like Y/N. Over the last two months, I've really gotten to know her... and I think I have feelings for her. I mean who wouldn't she smart, funny, kind, hardworking, encouraging, beautiful, and not that I care about but she an amazing body. She's bigger in size than most of the girls at this school but I love it. Her small waist, wide-ish hips, thick thighs, and big butt. Don't get me started on her amazing brown skin that glows in the sun.

I've seen the way other guys look at her, to be honest, it makes me jealous. I don't think she notices the stares even if she does she ignores them. Though it's selfish I've made it a habit to walk her to and from her car or to class in hopes of deflecting some of the guys from approaching her. But, I can't block them all and to be fair I've yet to make a move and ask her on a date yet.

The plan is to take her out after our tournaments to try and relieve her of some stress. I know how hard she works at school and with her team trying to better them. As I waited for practice to begin I decided to grow some balls and text Y/N.
