here ya go! Here's chapter two! Hope everyone likes it!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning, I leaped out of bed super early. I wanted to look amazing for my training session with Drew.
After eating breakfast and getting dressed, it's time to do my hair.
While yesterday I had put my hair in a smooth, tall bun and left two chunks of hair out on either side to frame my face, that seemed a little fancy for today.
I looked at my long, straight green hair in the mirror. It was the color of fields when they burst into bloom in the spring; light and happy.
I decided to hairspray it lightly before ruffling it to get a rough, messy look that also looked cute at the same time. I then pulled it up into a simple ponytail. I left my side-bangs as they were. The phone rings while I'm doing all this, but I ignore it. Probably just some stupid fan.
As for my outfit, I really wasn't sure. I bit my lip. If only Charity, my old best friend, were here. She always knew what to wear, and when to wear it. I felt a tear prick my eye. I still couldn't believe she had moved almost two years ago. At first she said she would keep in touch, but after awhile she stopped answering my calls, and I got the message. It still hurt that she could just ditch me like that. After that, I poured my heart and soul into Pokémon Contests, focusing solely on them and not having a care for humans. It was just an escape at first, but when I was ready to make some new friends, I discovered that I had lost pretty much all of my people skills. I had no idea how to make a friend. I'd been around Pokémon so much, I'd forgotten how to interact with a human. Besides, by then, I'd already won my Kanto and Johto Ribbon Cups, and was well on my way to the Hoenn Ribbon Cup. I was becoming more and more famous, and it was hard to tell who my real friends were.
But being famous isn't all bad.
Even though I've developed somewhat good people skills since then, I'm still not great. Even still, I always have people around me that want to be my friend. Even if it's just because I'm famous. And even though most of them couldn't win a Contest if they tried. It's a shame, really. I sighed.
No. I shook my head. I don't need any friends. I have my Pokémon, and they're all I need.
So then why am I so excited to talk with Drew?
***
It's around noon when I realize I have absolutely no idea when or where I'm supposed to meet with Drew. Panic wells up inside me. What if he thinks I'm blowing him off?!
I rush to the reception desk. I'm not sure why, but it seems like the logical thing to do.
And standing right there; there he is.
"Drew!" I squeal happily, then immediately regret it. What am I, some crazed fan?
He looks up at me. "There you are," he says carelessly, "I was beginning to think you had gotten lost."
"Well, excuse me for not being able to read your mind." I say, my temper flaring up.
Drew raises one eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"
"You never told me when or where to meet you," I say, "You're lucky I decided to come down here when I did."
Drew bursts out laughing.
"What?" I say irritably. I hate to be laughed at.
"I did call you, ya know." he says, pulling himself together.
