Hello everyone! :D I’m finally uploading again XD Sorry about the break! Summer homework<<<

I rush back to the dorms, rushing inside my room and leaning against the door tiredly. I’m soaking wet from the rain, as well as cold, dirty, and shaken up. Of course, I’m also excited, because I just caught myself a Zorua. I know they’re extremely rare, so not much is known about them. I’m pretty sure Zorua’s a Dark-type, though I’ll have to ask him.
I hop in the shower, not caring that it’s 1:30 in the morning, and rinse away the grime.
I put my sleeping clothes on then let out Eevee and Zorua, wanting them to meet.
“What are we doing? I’m tired.” Zorua complains, curling up on the couch moodily.
“I thought you’d like to meet Eevee.” I tell him.
The little black fox Pokémon yawns. “No, thanks.”
Eevee looks offended.
“Fine,” I say rather snippily, my temper getting the best of me, “We’ll do this tomorrow.”
I return my Pokémon to their Pokéballs and go to bed, listening to the storm rage outside.
***
The next morning, I actually have a bit longer than normal to get ready in the morning. First period is starting an hour late because the storm knocked down some power lines, so I decide to train my Pokémon a bit.
I walk out to the forest and find a little clearing. “C’mon, Eevee, Zorua!” I yell, and release my Pokémon.
Zorua looks around. “I don’t want to be here. Take me somewhere else.” He states.
I’m getting fed up with my new partner’s attitude.
“We’re gonna have a battle,” I say, “Eevee versus you. It’s always good to know who you’re working with, and a battle’s a good way to learn that.”
Zorua shakes his head. “I’m not battling.”
“Eevee, Headbutt!” I yell, and Eevee darts out and slams into Zorua, landing a powerful direct hit.
Zorua stumbles. “Hey!” he squeaks indignantly.
“Now, Hyper Voice!”
This time, Zorua unleashes a powerful Shadow Ball to ward off the attack.
“I told you, I don’t want to battle!” he huffs.
I ignore him. I have to get my new Pokémon over its attitude.
“Quick Attack, let’s go!”
Eevee flies down the field at Zorua, who unleashes a wave of dark energy at the little brown fox, pushing her back.
What move was that?
Zorua then bares his teeth, and rushes down the field with Crunch readied.
Eevee dodges easily.
“Now, use---”
Zorua suddenly launches another huge wave of dark energy, and it slams into Eevee.
And knocks her out.
“What?!” I stutter, “One move was all it took?! What move was that?”
Zorua yawns. “Dark Pulse. I’m really surprised you haven’t seen it. Oh well, that’s what I get for having a dim Trainer, I suppose.”
“Hey!” I spit indignantly. “It’s your duty to respect me! I’m your Trainer! If you respect me, I’ll respect you. That’s how it works.”
My new Pokémon just glances at me. “I said I didn’t want to battle, and yet you continued to attack me. That is not respect. Return us to the dorms. I am done here.”
I sigh and return both my Pokémon. On my way to first period, Zorua’s words echo in my mind.
I thought I was respecting him and helping him lose the snarky attitude… But was I really?
