MWAHAHAHAHA! I bet you thought chapter 23 was REALLY gonna be the last part, huh? Well, I also had an epilogue for you!! Anyways, after I upload this authors note, the story really *will* be totally complete, which is both elating and terrifying. While a lot of times I have the mindset that this story sucks, I'm still proud of it, and proud of myself for finishing it. I worked on this book for more than a year, and during that time my writing skills improved A LOT. When I first started this book, I didn't really have anything planned out; just a vague plot and some character names. I'm sure that horrifies some of you out there, and it certainly horrifies me now. But this was my first "real" book, and it was basically my guinea pig as I learned to navigate the complicated and zany world of writing. Now, I'm loads better at pacing, character development, and just writing a better plot in general. I think of more original ideas by myself.
So, yes, I'm sad this book is over. Very sad, actually. I grew very close with the characters; Prissy's determination, Thundi's sweet heart, Dakota's stubborn-ness, Katie's optimism, Chad's gentleness, Scarlett's open mind. (Melody's outright snobbiness). It's sad to think that this might be the last time I visit them. (and write it down, at least. Their stories will continue to live on in my mind).
But I am also very happy. With this book complete, I can go on to do bigger, better things in the world of writing. I'm excited to see where I will go from this story, and the different oportunities I will get to experience.
But most of all, I must thank you: without you guys, NONE of this would have been possible. With every vote, every loving comment, you guys continue to encourage me to soar to new heights, achieve for more, and assure me that yes, people actually like what I write.
And that means the world to me<3
Until next time~
