chapter 2: Not just a normal day

Marinette pov:

I restrained myself from looking at him. Sure he has grown taller and more sexier than what I saw in those fashion magazines.

I shaked my head.

Focus, you don't need love.

I looked at the clock as it was almost closing time and got myself out of the super-tight dress.

"Bri let's go" I peeked my head inside as the kitchen door.

"Let me just clean this up, real quick" She wiped the kitchen counters.

I nearly screamed as felix stood in front of me.

"Is she inside" He asked as I rolled my eyes.

"It's not a matter of forgiving you, she moved on already" I looked annoyed by him constantly torturing my cousin.

"So you moved on from my cousin, that lame confession, that's the funniest shit I've ever heard" He laughed and pushed past me.

"Let's....go..oo" Bri stopped mid-sentence seeing us.

"What are you doing here" She rolled her eyes

"It's been 8 months already, why can't you just love me back" He got closer towering her.

"Because I don't love you"

"How about giving me a chance bridgette" Felix tried to grab her hands as she avoided them.

"I am not interested in you, you are arrogant, rude, self-centred and I don't know why you are trying to pursue me, Is their any selfish motive behind this" She glared at him.

Get me some popcorn and ice cream.

Adrien entered hesitantly as I stopped him.

"A drama is about to unfold, stay here" I pulled his arms and let him stay beside me.

"W-What...!?" I shushed him.

"I do have a selfish motive behind everything bridgette" Felix gripped her hands.

"I know it right, you are a selfish bastard who only thinks about yourself" She struggled to get out of his grip.

"Yeah I want you all to myself, Is that selfish?! I don't want you near any guy except me, Is that selfish?! and bonus point, my mom likes you too" He smirked down at her.

"I won't blame anyone if bri slaps him hard" Adrien mumbled

Bridgette pulled him into a very hard kiss as I squealed.

That was unexpected!!

Bridgette pushed him aside and walked out as I awkwardly smiled at the two blondes before me.

"Wait to ruin things marinette" he huffed in anger while I ran away towards Bridgette.

After adrien and felix coming out of the shop, we closed as they stood there.

"You still have feelings for me, don't you, my naughty chinese doll" felix told as bri turned.

"Want me to use my kung fu, fuck off" She walked towards her new apartment after waving goodbye to me.

"I should get going, nice meeting you adrien" I told as adrien stopped me.

"I can drop you since it's late for you to walk alone" he offered as I accepted. I don't know how to reject him.

I entered into his car as he closed the door for me.

The silence was awkward as he drove towards my parents bakery.

"Thanks adrien" I told as I jumped out of the car.

"No problem..." I heard him say as I went inside.

I went straight to my room and took a deep breath.

I am not a teenager anymore so I guess I should control my hormones.

After refreshing myself, I continued my search for job as one particular one caught my eyes.

"Gabriel fashion vacant assistant post"

I filled the online application form.

So tomorrow I have to go to an interview at Gabriel's!!

I hope they'd select me. I went to my closet to pick out appropriate attire. At times like this, I wish tikki was with me.

I picked a baby pink satin shirt and a black skirt.

I ate my breakfast as my parents sat beside me.

"You are gonna rock darling, nobody can reject the girl who designed album cover for the king of rock 'n' roll at the age of 15" my dad encouraged as I smiled at him.

"Thanks dad" I told as I checked the time.

"All the best sweetie" my mom told as I walked out of the house and entered inside the cab.

"To Gabriel's fashion" I told as I checked my lipstick.

I waited for them to call my name as I checked out other womens. They are actually making me nervous with their high heels and red lipstick. I looked at my closed toe black wedges and sighed.

Cheer up marinette, you are gonna get it!!

"Ms.Dupain-cheng" I heard as I walked inside.

I looked at my idol with his assistant.

Gabriel agreste!!

I greeted them and sat at the chair, I could see Mr. Agreste eying me up and down.

"Ms.Marinette Dupain-cheng, can I ask you what is your need for this job, you seem over-qualified for a mere assistant job" His icy stare pierced my soul.

"I wanted to open my own boutique so I am in need of money so need this job sir" I answered.

"So Ms. Dupain-cheng you are gonna quit as soon as you have enough money to open your small boutique business"

"Yes sir" I told as I know they are going to reject me.

"Then you must be ready to sign the 3-year agreement bond" He motioned his assistant to bring over papers.

Wait...did I got selected

MR. GABRIEL SELECTED ME TO BE HIS ASSISTANT!!

I happily signed as Mr. Gabriel dismissed everyone and went back to his office.

"You have to manage schedule, check e-mails, we will be arranging a room beside Mr. Agreste so that you can assist him, keep tabs on the media,..do you understand Ms. Dupain-cheng?" Ms. Natalie asked as I nodded.

"Let me show you your desk" She walked as I followed her.

She opened the doors of a small room.

"Mr.Gabriel hates gossiping so no gossips" she told as she showed me my computer, files.

"If Mr. Agreste calls you, go immediately, that's it, have a nice day marinette" She exited as I called my mom and dad to inform the good news.
