Chapter 6: After effects

Adrien's pov:

I waited patiently for marinette so that we can have a talk.

Let's rewind a little bit.

I woke up to an empty bed and believed that everything happened was my crazy wet dream.

I walked out to see alya on nino's lap flirting with him.

So they made up and got together after 3 years

I slowly slipped away to the kitchen to fill my tummy.

Gross!!

I looked at felix hugging bridgette from behind and helping her cutting fruits.

When did they got together?!

There goes my appetite

I walked out to see marinette and I smiled and greeted her with a good morning as she got all awkward

So last night wasn't my hallucinations

What!! Last night really happened!!

"Marinette...last night..."

"I know you were drunk, so no worries" She dismissed and walked away

It's true I drank because I couldn't get certain first love of mine out of my head. And I really regret not knowing her identity before I gave up my miraculous.

I was sad that I won't get to see her, it's idiotic of me to believe in destiny

And the whole way back marinette avoided me. And what's more irritating is Felix being all lovey-dovey with bridgette.

I pulled my hot assistant into a place where we'll be hidden from cctv.

"Adrien!!" She struggled hard to walk fast with her heels.

"Let's get married" I blurted out

"Adrien we can't" She whispered.

"I mean marinette, I want to take responsibility for what I did that night"

"Then shouldn't you take responsibility for every girl you've had sex with"

Is she mad at me...!?

"Yes but I want to be responsible for you"

"Adrien a rich guy marrying a poor girl might be common in cinemas but not in reality, we...can't"

"I asked do you love me marinette because as long as you love me there's no problem for us to be together, I love you what about you" I asked bluntly.

I once let go of my bugaboo, I can't repeat the same mistake twice with my princess.

"Then let's get married" I pulled her towards the parking lot as she stopped me.

"Aren't we too young to get married" She looked hesitant.

I know but I feel like someone's going to snatch her away any moment. Precisely I'm afraid of luka snatching away marinette from me.

The insecurity is slowly driving me crazy.

"You are 22 and I am 23, aren't we at the right age"

"Okay" She looked away making me feel guilty.

"You don't have to feel obligated to marry me, I'm sorry that I am inconsiderate" I looked at her being silent.

I really don't know what's going on in her mind.

"Why do you want to marry me" She seemed serious and a little intimidating. Like the chill that you'll feel when your kitten turns into a tiger.

"Because I love you and want you"

We registered our marriage as bridgette and felix stood as our witnesses.

Everything was simple with a pair of Tiffany and co engagement ring.

"A month ago she's just a friend, a week ago she's just a assistant and now...she's just a wife" Felix blabbered as I face palmed myself.

"Well don't forget to give us a treat newly wed" Bridgette chirped

"Choose a restaurant, bills on me" I told as marinette remained silent.

Did she say 'yes' because she was scared that I'm a rich kid and I'd destroy her or worse, did she think I'm the worst husband since our wedding wasn't that extravagant and I didn't even bother asking her parents approval.

I don't care about my parent but marinette parents cherishes her, if they knew that their precious daughter married without informing them, they are gonna be sad, Mr. Dupain might even kill me.

"You are sweating a lot" Marinette wiped my sweat as I gave her an awkward smile.

She looks so...I don't know I just have this urge to hug her and apologize.

"Thanks" I mumbled as we all settled and ordered our meals.

"When are you going to move out of your parents house and live with your husband" Bridgette asked as marinette looked like a deer caught in headlights.

"I suppose adrien is still living with his beloved father" Felix told while eating proper and clean.

"No I moved out and rented a small house" I smirked at him.

"I'm having a heart attack here, who allowed you to flew out of your golden cage agreste"

"I am not a kid anymore" We were half way through our meal as Natalie called me.

"Where are you adrien, your father is very pissed at you, Come to the office now"

"I'll be there" I hung up as I huffed.

"Party's over kids, I'll get going" I paid the bill as marinette followed.

"Can I come too" She asked as I nodded

"I...I feel like I've forced you marinette, I..I want you to be happy, if you feel obligated or something to marry me, please tell me" I asked once we reached my car.

My father can wait for a while.

"No adrien, this is all sort of sudden and without informing my parents and friends"

"Perhaps we can hold a grand wedding"
