I'm letting go
Of what was never mine
Lost loves
And gems
Money and timeHope and ambition
Wealth and fame
Joys and defeats
All end the sameLetting go of frustration
Letting go of pain
Going to bask in the sunshine
Or drown in rainGoing to find a reason
To dance and write and dream
Going to be myself
Alone to cry and screamLetting go of people
Letting go of things
Letting go of results
And all that cuts and stingsLetting go of fear
Letting go of control
Releasing my attachment
To other souls I knowBeing alone and steady
Being alone and strong
Forgetting all my reasons
To grieve or feel I'm wrongedLetting go of justice
Releasing the idea I'm right
Letting go of darkness
To just explore the nightLetting go of the blame
And all the condemnation
Forgiving my own self
For flaws and hesitationAnd finding peace within
Amid rising chaos
Releasing the need for order
And flowing with the noiseEverything I see
Everything I touch
Everything I wanted
Is not so very much
Any more
