Sing it in pain
It's beautiful
If its just rain
Still beautiful
Its complex grief
So dutiful
And all that's fragile
Life is beautifulEven when its sorrow
It's singing
Even when the tragedy
Is bringing
The last note
Or the final hope
It's beautiful.
Life is beautifulWhen we're amazed
And in awe
At nature's ways
And applauseWhen beating hearts
Still keep time
And we let go
And meet sublimeWhen all our moments
Collage into feeling
And gentle minds
Are reelingAnd laughing finds us mending
The brokenness we are tendingI hold on to
All who are my friends
The goodwill we
Need to make amends
With our own self
And with tragedy
To know at last
we will all be freeIt's that mellow tune
That comforts us
The dancing melody
Inside if us
That reaches out to the beauty here
That clings to hope
And discards fearIt's a life worth dancing to
A life song I want to sing that's true
And find that Harmony and all that's sung
Somewhere
A tune I knew
when I was free and young
