"Kids! Hurry up!" Leonardo hollers as he rubs the human patch hidden underneath his clothes.
"Leo, calm down. It's the first day of school, not a fire drill," Destiny says, also wearing a patch.
Dean races out from the hallway, Venus skipping along behind him. Both are already wearing patches, their mutant characteristics hidden expertly. Still, Venus didn't take her mask off.
"I'm so excited!" Venus squeals. "I've got everything I need!"
"That isn't already at school." Leo chuckles. "Are you sure you're ready to take on the big scary human world?"
"Yeah!" She grins, wiggling her fingers.
"Can't wear this to school," Destiny says, kneeling down and untying her mask.
"I just braided it," the little girl pouts.
"And you can braid it again when you get home."
"Hey, I had to take off mine too," Leo points out.
Dean looks himself over, his wild eyes looking like a normal sapphire blue and his clothes, which consist of a leather jacket, white t-shirt, and jeans with runners, look good. He wants to make a good first impression.
"I'm ready," he says confidently.
"Me too!" Venus grins, grabbing her brother's hand.

"Sorry Co. You can't take your chigiriki to school," Taylor says.
"Awww..." Copeland pouts.
"Exactly what I'm thinking," Raphael huffs. "There are boys at school. She needs something to fend them off!"
"Raphie, you're overreacting." Taylor rolls her eyes.
"There are hormonal teenage boys. I am not overreacting!" he insists.
"Dad..." Copeland whines.
He looks at his daughter, letting out a heavy sigh. "Fine. No weapon." He leans down and whispers in a softer voice, "Kicks and punches. Got it?"
"Mmhmm."
"That's my girl."
She checks the patch on her body that's making her look like a normal teenage girl, nodding slowly. She grins, shifting her bag on her shoulder.
"Let's go!"

Asher fiddles with his human patch, grumbling and making annoyed noises.
"Ash, it's working," Dakota says. "What are you trying to do?"
"Get rid of these!" He points to his eyes, which although the blue robotic one looks normal now, are still mismatched.
"Seriously? That's what you're worried about?" she asks.
"I don't want to be some weirdo with two different eye colours..."
Dakota smirks. "Um, I've got that too."
"Oh...right."
"For an intelligent turtle, you can be so dumb." She laughs and throws an arm around his shoulder. "The patch only hides the fact that you're a turtle. It can't get rid of the mismatched eyes. Don't worry, little brother."
"I'm only younger by a minute!"
"Still little!"
"Well I'm taller than you, so ha."
"Kids! Come on! Don't want to be late!" Donatello calls as he pokes his head into the lab.
He's already in his human form, his brunette hair still long enough to pull back into a ponytail. He adjusts his glasses a little, smiling.
"Coming!" Asher smiles as he and his sister head out.
Sarina looks to her children, her pale blue eyes seeming to shimmer with pride.
"None of you have your weapons, right?" she asks.
Dakota sighs and pulls one of her kunais out of her backpack. Asher smirks and adjusts his own glasses.
"Sorry," she mumbles.
"I'd be doing the same if it were allowed. Don't feel too bad." Sarina laughs.
"Onwards to school!" Donnie proclaims.

"This is gonna be so cool!" Mitch squeals as he hops up and down.
Michelangelo and Annalise smile as they head down the tunnel. Mitch laughs and rants about the things he wants to try, every now and then adjusting the skateboard under his arm.
"Mitch?" Annalise cuts him off.
"Yeah mom?"
"Just have fun and learn lots, okay?" Mikey asks.
"You got it!"
He flashes a thumbs up sign, and the two parents grin.
