Draco's pov:

After waking up next to Serena, I found myself grappling with a mixture of confusion and curiosity. How had she ended up here, beside me, in my bed? The events of the previous night were a blur, obscured by the haze of alcohol and the revelry of the drinking game. Serena's presence next to me only added to the disorientation I felt upon waking.

Her voice broke through my contemplation, cutting through the awkward silence that hung between us. "So, um... did we, you know... do anything?" Her words tumbled out hesitantly, laced with a hint of embarrassment.

I struggled to collect my thoughts, still trying to piece together the fragments of the night before. "Uh, I... I don't think so," I managed to reply, my voice betraying my uncertainty.

Serena nodded slowly, her cheeks flushed pink with embarrassment. "Right, okay... well, maybe we shouldn't discuss it," she suggested, her words rushed as she gathered her thoughts. Without waiting for a response, she hastily scrambled out of bed, her movements quick and slightly awkward.

I watched her retreat, feeling a pang of regret mixed with relief. The air in the room seemed to shift, thick with unspoken words and unresolved tension. Serena's hurried departure left me alone, grappling with a whirlwind of emotions and unanswered questions.

As she disappeared through the doorway, I couldn't help but wonder what this unexpected morning encounter meant for us. Would things between us change now, after this confusing moment? Or would we brush it aside, pretending it never happened?

The silence that followed was deafening, filled with unspoken words and the weight of uncertainty. I knew one thing for certain: today was going to be anything but ordinary.

Serena's pov:

I figured I was going to be late to classes after this morning's incident. The confusion and embarrassment of waking up next to Draco had thrown off my routine, leaving me scrambling to get ready. As I hurriedly made my way back to the girls' dormitories, my mind raced with questions. How had I ended up in his bed? Had anything happened between us?

Once inside my room, I swiftly changed into my uniform, the familiar fabric offering a small sense of normalcy amidst the chaos of my thoughts. I grabbed my wand and quickly brushed my hair, trying to smooth out the tangles from the restless night. I sprayed on my favorite cinnamon vanilla perfume, the comforting scent wrapping around me like a protective shield.

With no time to waste, I skipped breakfast and headed straight to Advanced Potions. My stomach grumbled in protest, but I ignored it, my focus solely on getting to class on time. The corridors of Hogwarts were already bustling with students, their chatter and laughter a stark contrast to the turmoil in my mind.

As I neared the Potions classroom, I could feel the tension building. I was painfully aware that I was running late, and the last thing I wanted was to draw attention to myself. I quickened my pace, my heart pounding in my chest, and finally reached the door a few minutes after the class had started.

"Sorry, Professor, I had a late start," I said to my dad.

"Miss Evans, that'll be points from Slytherin house if you're late again," he replied, his tone icy and intimidating.

I scanned the room for an open seat and spotted one between the Weasley twins. With a resigned sigh, I made my way over to their workstation and sat down.

"Hello there, I'm Fred," one of the twins greeted me with a mischievous grin.

"And I'm George, pleasure to meet you!" the identical face next to Fred added.
