draco's pov:

After a long, unfortunate turn of events to my night, I woke up. My nose gave an excruciating sting along with a pounding headache to go along with it. I stretch my achy body to feel for my surroundings, not being fully awake to acknowledge that I'm still in the common room from last night. I feel that I'm on the emerald green velvet couch that I resided on, so that confirmed my suspicions. I lazily swivel my legs onto the floor and start to my dorm.

My dorm was unlike any other. As a member of one of the wealthiest pure-blood families in the wizarding world, I had my own private space. Despite my father's disdain for me, his influence ensured I always got what I wanted. The room was dimly lit by a small, crystallized chandelier and featured a black, four-poster king-sized bed. It was elegant yet masculine, fit for royalty.

I glanced at the calendar in my room and realized it was Saturday, and not just any Saturday—it was a Hogsmeade weekend. Nearly every Hogwarts student would be out of the castle. I walked over to my mahogany wardrobe and decided it was time to change out of my bloodstained shirt, which had once been white. "Scourgify!" I whispered, pointing my wand at the shirt. The blood vanished almost immediately, and I carefully laid the shirt back in the wardrobe as if nothing had happened.

I changed into a black sweatshirt and matching slacks, knowing I needed to dress warmly for the cold Hogsmeade weekend. After getting ready, I made my way to the Great Hall in time for breakfast. I sat down at my usual spot at the Slytherin table and used "Accio" to summon my coffee, prepared with one cup of creamer, along with my usual two slices of buttered toast.

I saw Serena walk in with Pansy shortly after breakfast began, both of them giggling about something Pansy must have said. Serena was wearing a green flannel that brought out her eyes, tight black jeans that hugged her hips, and combat boots. She was also folding up her permission form for Hogsmeade, its sloppy handwriting unmistakably that of a healer.

"Hey guys, Serena and I were going to go to the three broomsticks when we got to Hogsmeade, anyone care to join us?" Pansy spoke enthusiastically as she pulled out a flask, waving it around sneakily, up to no good as per usual.

Crabbe, Goyle, Blaise and Theo were all willing to go and pounced at the opportunity, laughing at Pansy's context.

"I don't know, I might be busy," I didn't have plans but I did have to meet up with father at some point.

"Drake, you're such a loser," Pansy said as she shoved my shoulder, scowling at the nickname she gave me.

During the walk to Hogsmeade, we were all freezing, but somehow Serena managed to pull a beanie and gloves out of her small flannel pockets. I had initially planned to skip the trip, but I knew the consequences of staying behind. Pansy had already shoved me at the table, and I didn't want to imagine what she would do if I bailed on them now. Reluctantly, I decided to join them, bracing myself for whatever lay ahead.

We made our way into the Three Broomsticks and found it busier than usual, even for a Hogsmeade weekend. With no other options, we took a seat at a table in the corner.

"I've never been here, got any recommendations?" Serena spoke up after the long silence of looking at her menu.

"Oh my gosh, girl, you've got to try the butterbeer and the chips here, they're my absolute favorite," Pansy gushed.

I rolled my eyes after hearing the girls chat about food for what felt like ages, then our waitress finally came over.

"Hey guys! I'm Avery, I'll be your server, can I get anything for you guys?"

Before Blaise could begin to speak, I opened my mouth and said, "I'm going to be blunt in front of my mates here," gesturing around the table. "I'm paying for all of them, so put it on one tab, no hesitations. Seven butterbeers and three large orders of chips, unless anyone wants anything else," I added, looking around. Everyone shook their heads in agreement.
