Serena's pov:

*before bed that night*

After a sleepless night of searching for Pansy, Blaise and I returned to the Slytherin common room, exhausted and disheartened. Dumbledore had been of no help, and our efforts in the dungeons had yielded nothing. It seemed as if Pansy had vanished without a trace, and no one besides Blaise and myself knew she was missing.

"Blaise, will we ever find her?" I asked, my voice trembling with worry as I paced back and forth in the common room.

Blaise looked at me with a reassuring expression, his voice steady. "Rena, we will find her. It's going to take time and effort, but we won't give up. She's out there somewhere, and we'll bring her back."

His words offered a glimmer of hope in the midst of our despair. I nodded, grateful for his steadfast optimism, and we both resolved to continue our search for Pansy, determined to unravel the mystery of her disappearance and ensure her safe return.

I returned to our shared dormitory, feeling a heavy sense of dread as I surveyed the now disheveled room. Pansy's bed was more chaotic than before, as if someone had rifled through her belongings in a frenzied search. Desperate to find any clue about her disappearance, I meticulously searched every corner of her bed.

Amidst the scattered items, I made a distressing discovery: Pansy's wand was missing. It had been on her nightstand just yesterday. There were also strange scratches and marks on her bed, suggesting a struggle had taken place. My heart sank at the realization that Pansy might have been attacked by some sort of animagus or magical creature.

Over the next few days, Blaise and I remained vigilant, constantly searching for any sign or clue that could lead us to Pansy. We combed through every corner of Hogwarts, hoping for a breakthrough.

Then, unexpectedly, while patrolling the halls, the Room of Requirement revealed itself to us. It was unusual because the room only appeared when one had a specific need. Peering inside, I was stunned to see my father in conversation with Peter Pettigrew, discussing dark and ominous matters related to some obscure order.

My mind raced with questions and fears. What were they planning? Did they have something to do with Pansy's disappearance? I exchanged a worried glance with Blaise, realizing that our quest to find Pansy had just taken a dangerous and unexpected turn.

The conversation I overheard between my father, Snape, and Peter Pettigrew sent a chill down my spine. They were discussing Pansy's abduction and the Dark Lord's demands. My heart raced as I tried to comprehend their words.

"I've got the girl, what does the Dark Lord want now?" Peter's voice trembled with uncertainty.

"Peter, we cannot involve an innocent student. This is not the right girl," Snape's voice was calm but firm, a stark contrast to Peter's nervousness.

"Well, if we can't have her, then let's take your daughter," Peter suggested callously.

"Very well," my father's voice was cold and detached. "I don't want an innocent student in harm's way when my daughter has been in hiding."

Fear gripped me as I realized they were talking about me. Before I could process their intentions fully, I felt a sudden tug, as if an invisible force was pulling me. In an instant, I found myself standing in the Room of Requirement, facing my father and the others.

"Serena, the Dark Lord has requested your presence," my father's voice echoed in the room, heavy with a solemnity that sent shivers down my spine.

Beside Peter, I saw Pansy, her eyes filled with fear and anguish. The torment she must have endured at the hands of Greyback, combined with witnessing her best friend being summoned, weighed heavily on her. I wanted to reach out to her, to offer comfort, but I was frozen with my own fear and confusion.
