'Shhhhhhh! Noah!' Dixie laughed as Noah tried to sneak into the living room, checking if her parents were already sleeping. 'well I don't see anyone, so I think we're good. Switch the light on' Noah whispered to Dixie. She led out a sigh, throwing her stuff onto the countertop. Her hands met her hair as she closed her eyes, leaning on the chair but slowly drifting off. 'Hey! Dix! Try to stay awake sleepyhead' Noah mumbled under his breath, trying to take of his shoes. Dixie's head snapped up to the sound of feet on the stairs, her heart was racing.  Noah looked up, with fear in his eyes. They both stared at eachother, completely frozen.

'Noah? What are u doing here? And what happened with your face?' Heidi groggily spoke. She turned the lights brighter to see what was happening. Dixie could only stare at the ground, what where they gonna say?

'Uhm Noah and I just went for an walk, as suddenly-' Dixie said. Noah stood up and continued,  while scratching the back of his neck.

'I- i- tripped... yes I tripped, uhm over an bench'. Was the first thing Noah could think of what would be a good finish for Dixie her sentence. His heart started pounding and he clearly became anxious. As there eyes met they couldn't hold their laughter in, letting al the anxiety out.

'I mean yeah that is kind off funny Noah' Heidi answered when they stopped laughing. The atmosphere was weird and akward and Dixie just couldn't handle it anymore. She hesitated for a bit, but she just had to.

'Do you need hel-' Dixie cut Heidi off. 'No! I got it! It's just and scratch, it's just that it is pretty late already so can Noah just sleep here, on the couch or something?' She said, looking at Noah and then back at her mom again. He nodded, 'yeah the couch is fine it's just better if I go home tomorrow morning'. Ofcourse he could just go home now, but he knew that Dixie needed him, she didn't even had to tell him. Reading her features was so easy for him, it almost felt like he felt exactly what she felt.

'oouf- auw dix-' Noah hissed as Dixie attached her warm towel to his cheeck. Dixie giggled, 'it's okay to say when ur hurting, mr big Noah neck' Dixie cracked up at her own joke as she saw Noah's brows frowning. She tugged at his black sweatpants as she tried not to fall from laughter. She stood inbetween his legs, who where resting on the bathroom counter. Noah cut her off by suddenly resting his head on hers. 'Today was fun, kind off'.

'Yeah it actually was, it is always fun with you' Dixie answered.

'Owh so do I make you happy?' He said, staring into her eyes. She stopped giggling and there lips were inches apart. 'Yes'

His heart melt at her answer, because deep down he knew that the only wanted one thing; to make her happy and smile.

A big smile grew on his face and he removed the towel from his cheek, holding her hand.

'well then I guess it's working' He said.

'what's working?' She whispered.

'Making u feel happy, loved and to have this beautiful smile on your face, just like now'

'I'll just grab some pillows and I think Dixie has some more blankets upstairs, right dix?' Noah asked to Dixie, looking at Heidi. Heidi couldn't hold her laugh in as he watched Noah trying to explain himself at all cost. Noah didn't understand what was wrong ' what ...?' He whispered. 'Nothing Noah, just please stop stressing, make u feel yourself at home. I trust you so there shouldn't be any worries, and even if you and Dixie were something, we all wouldn't mind because everyone in this house knows you are a good young men Noah. Now hop on the couch before Rebel takes your place' Heidi spoke.

'Thankyou Mrs.Damelio, I really appreciate that'

'The cat in the hat for sure!' Dixie loudly spoke as she ran down stairs with the blankets and an stuffed animal. The living room was empty and almost fully dark, as they satled in for movie. 'What's it about this movie then?' Hé asked with a cute grin. 'Does it even matter?' She whispered, smiling. Ofcourse if didn't for Noah. As long as he could be with here, he was the happiest man alive. As they watched the movie he wondered if she felt the same way already. Like he knew that she liked him, but loving? He knew that opening up takes a little while for her, but slowly and steady she is opening like an wonderful book. He hesitated about telling her how he felt, but he knew that it was way to early. So he decided to put it away into the back of his mind.
