Listening to the rain pouring down against the windows instead of the useless chatter surrounding the length of the bar crowded with members of the club drinking wildly despite it being ten O'clock in the morning on a bloody Monday morning. My sunken mood has them shying away form me only asking the other bartenders to get their bottles of beer. Kind of hurt by that small simple gesture I guess it's mind own fault for not putting a smile one my face starting my shift early this morning.
"Why the sour face Sabina? Daddy not coming around to sweep you off of your feet?"
One drunk biker seated in one of the booths across the back of the clubhouse shouted above the chatter over at me laughing along with his two smirking buddies. Other bikers stopped their conversations to having their own little laugh and carefully watch my reaction expecting me to lash out at the very least. They all just had to think that my father being in a mental institution is funny when they were the ones who put him there in the first place.Anger boiled in the pit of my stomach but I kept myself just about under control not to go and smash the said bikers face into the booth table a number of times. Keeping up the scenarios clashing around my head to do as much damage to him in as little time as possible without me getting in the process too. Preoccupied with diving in to myself I shiver at some uneven breathing courting down the back of neck bringing up some goosebumps along the length of both arms.
"Maybe I can be the one to control this feisty little body and I can warm that lonely best of yours at night." His horrid breath hitting me in the face having me dry heave at the smell of cigarette smoke, mixed nuts, and cheap alcohol. Even attempting to prove his point the drunk biker forcefully grips my hips rotating his crotch into my backside.
Blowing up in to my automatic defensive position, I cup an index finger on each hand and in one swift movement yank them backwards loudly hearing them cleanly break in a leat one place while the knuckle joint may have pooped out also. Distracted by the sheer amount of pain pumping through his hands, the biker tries to pull away from me but in one fowl scoop of adrenaline.
I plunder my way forward to face the drunken biker and use the shelving and the bar countertop on either side of me to pummel my right foot hit him square in the chest sending him fleeing from out behind the bar skidding across the stained dark wood flooring. By this point everyone has stopped what they were doing to watch the altercation between the pair of us. Yet, it's over before it has even started as the biker bashed his head on the floor enough times it has cleanly knocked him out. Only in time for the club president to walk in through the clubhouse doors his eyebrow cocked in a questionable way with his beefy arms crossed over his chest.
"Don't suppose anybody is willing to tell me why Sabina has bowled another member of the club." His voice boomed across the room, like the cold hearted giant we all know he can be, over the low music someone now has the audacity to turn after some of the awful taste in music some of these people have. Everyone in the clubhouse chose their answer when they all cower their heads away from his devil like stare not daring to slip a single piece of information.
The dirty damp rag thrown over my shoulder I kart myself off back to the back storage room shortly after seeing my older half sister parade though the doors of the clubhouse beside her father holding a overly confused look on her face. I don't even want to know what she could be thinking raking her gaze over me and the drunk knocked out biker. But it still blew out a small portion of the anger boiling away in the pit of my stomach however how my step sister has turned up I think I may need to hit something else.
Wearing a knee length white dress covered in daisies with a pair of ankles boots and a faded denim jacket sat around hers shoulders she immediately caught everybody's attention upon radiating a bright happy vibe across the room that screams there is nothing wrong with the world. Oh how I wish to get the biggest pin I could find and burst her bubble of positivity and happiness to shower my dearest sister with everything poorly wrong with the world she is so desperately trying to hide. Out of sight out of mind I guess.
