Jessica Paige

I woke up to the hot sun on the back of my head, my brain had woken up and the rest of my body was starting to recognize feeling again. I felt rested and peaceful, but then the feeling of heaviness reached my hand. I opened my eyes slowly and was staring at what I thought was a dream. Ahead of me laid a head of brown curls shining in the sun, I watched as the back of this beautiful being rose up and down. I listened and studied the steady rhythm of his breathing and watched as he just slept, no thought of the night before. I looked at my hand as I felt a subtle squeeze and couldn't help but smile to myself, I couldn't fully see my hand but what I did see was the other hand that was engulfing it. Harrys. It had two rings on it and a thin black hair-tye squeezed his wrist. I reluctantly let go of his soft hands and slid out of the bed leaving Harry alone, and fast asleep.

I walked out of the room and quietly closed the door so that Harry didn't wake up. I was starving, I looked at my phone and it said that it was 9 in the morning. Leave it to me to wake up early after a late night. I figured I might as well go get food, but I didn't want to leave and have Harry wake up wondering why I wasn't here.

I decided to order some breakfast, just a couple of muffins and some juice. I don't know how I did it but I convinced the delivery guy to go buy me a toothbrush, there was no way that I was going to hang out with Harry with morning breath.

Look at that Jess you're already thinking too much

I sat down on the couch waiting for the stuff to get here, I looked out the window for a bit but then got up and explored the kitchen cabinets. The kitchen even had a little bar area where people were supposed to eat with stools that spun for seats. I spun on the stools for a little bit when a knock finally came from the other side of the door. I turned the doorknob and a tired-looking man stood on the other side.

"Hi," I said.

"This is your food...and your toothbrush to go with it?" It was like he was judging me a little bit but I didn't care.

"Thank you." I gave him a twenty as an extra tip and then closed the door, I turned around and walked over to the sink in the kitchen and brushed my teeth. I felt much better and more awake after that, I even stuck my head under the faucet just letting the water fall onto my face, it felt good. I took my face out of the water and turned off the faucet, I reached down searching for a towel and thankfully found one. I wiped off the water and put the towel back in its place, I took a long breath and began to turn around but to my surprise Harry was standing right there. My heart leaped into my throat, and I screamed, even though I knew who he was I just didn't expect him to be there! I felt like I literally just had a heart attack, I reached out and grabbed the counter in front of me and bent over to catch my breath.

"Holy crap Harry you scared the life out of me," I looked up at him as he had winced to my scream which probably was ten times louder to him.

"Sorry," he said as he sat down on one of the spinny stools and leaned onto the counter holding his head up. His hair was wet, he must have taken a shower.

when did he take a shower?

"Your shirt is over on the tv," I said. He just nodded and sat down anyways.

"So...um I've got us some muffins and juice, well I got myself juice and you this," I slid a beer across the counter in front of his face. I didn't know what type of beer he liked or even if he liked beer but he was gonna drink some anyways.

"Why are you giving me this?" He asked as he sat up and grabbed it from the counter.

"Because," I took it from his hand to open it, "my mom tells me that the best way to cure a hangover is to have a little more." He looked at me in disbelief.
