/// Re Cap ///

Soon enough Tsukasa walks towards you. Yuzuriha is crying at your side and Taiju is looking distressed, you are currently holding your breath and staying as still as possible.'I was trapped in a stone for thousands of years this is light work, all I have to do is not laugh' the seconds feel like hours you're just praying he buys it.

// End Re cap //

You feel Tsukasa's hands graze your cheek and you think you're about to break character, 'Damn playing dead is a whole lot harder than I thought' Tsukasa is studying your facial features closely, he doesn't see a reason as to why Yuzuriha and Taiju would lie but he's still cautious.

"It'll be easier to put her body away if we cut her up" Tsukasa plainly states

'IM SORRY IF YOU DO WHAT TO ME' you are panicking, Yuzuriha and Taiju are protesting his idea saying it's against your religion that you would've never wanted that, but Tsukasa is not backing down. You have two options here: keep playing dead and become dead or admit defeat. You opt for the third option, choosing to believe Tsukasa is bluffing and staying dead, you then hear a sharp scream from Yuzuriha and a strong wind next to your face.

Tsukasa brought his weapon up and basically hurled it to the ground aiming at your neck but at the last minute switched to the side of your head scraping your cheek. Your heart is doing a marathon to say the least, but your breath is still being held.

"I'm sorry about your two friends, may they meet once more in the after life" Tsukasa sighs, although the two of you were not very close he did enjoy your company along with Senku and found it a shame the two of you couldn't live to see his dreams.

"M-may you give us time to put her body a-away and mourn" Yuzuriha chokes out between tears, Tsukasa nods his head and disappears. When he's out of view Yuzuriha whispers in your ear

"You can breathe now but stay still in case he comes back" you take a deep inhale and sigh. 'That worked, that somehow worked, wow I have the mind of a master, master of a...uh master mind I can do anything' (AN: Yall know this reference? cus I LOVE that video)

You stay still for what feels like around 20 minutes, truth be told you took a nap. You're woken up by Taiju who for once was speaking in hushed tones.

"We're done with the grave, Senku headed that way through those trees, good luck (y/n)" He pulls you into a strong embrace. Yuzuriha joins and adds

"We believe in the both of you, and don't let him step all over you. You are extremely capable he's just an idiot if he doesn't see it"

'Senku an idiot? that'd be the first I heard of that' You think to yourself, but still happy for the supportive comments. You thank the both of them and say your farewells. You then walk through the cluster of trees and start your journey in looking for Senku. 'Hopefully I find him quickly I can not get eaten by a lion, that shit is not cute at ALL'

You walk aimlessly for what feels like hours, in reality it's been thirty minutes but who's counting anyways. You can't call for Senku because technically he's dead and technically you're dead, so you just walk. 'I'm really gonna die here, I literally died just to die again this was not the plan' You groan annoyed at everything. You groan again and start whining,

"Man I dont give a FUCK if Tsukasa finds me im TIRED OF THIS SHIT" You cursed while kicking dirt around. Somehow your little fit of anger worked and although Senku didn't hear you someone else did.

"Is something the matter" a feminine voice asked

"HOLY SHIT" you shrieked, this girl came out of nowhere. She had blonde hair and blue eyes but still looked as if she had asian descent which confused you. She was tiny, 5'2 tiny, and she wore a cute blue dress, caveman style, but cute nonetheless. 'Damn her fit lowkey go hard not gonna lie'

"You must be the friend of the sorcerer" she looked up at you with big curious eyes

"Follow me he's this way" and she took off in a run, it caught you off guard how quickly she disappeared but you followed after her, albeit not as fast but fast enough to keep up. Soon you see Senku in the clearing next to a tree, he looks up at you and waves, you give him a big toothy grin in response.

"Can you believe this sorcerer believed me to be in love with him" Kohaku snickers and then laughs, Your eyebrows raise in surprise 'did he hope for her to be in love with him?' you look at Senku searching for an answer, he clicks his tongue

"Nothing is as illogical as being in a relationship they are magnets for trouble" Senku boasts while crossing his arms, Kohaku chuckles as she finds anything this tiny man does amusing. You on the other hand are pondering his words 'I suppose relationships are out of question with Senku' you chuckle at your thoughts but feel a bit glum as a result.

"(y/n) get out of that head of yours and help me start a fire it seems we'll be camping here for the night" Senku orders, you let out a dramatic sigh

"I fake my death for you and you immediately put me to work, at least let me work through this trauma i've gone through, at leassttt" you state as dramatically as you can with your hands on the side of your face for emphasis. Senku doesn't seem to find it amusing and rolls his eyes, you think you hear him chuckle but aren't sure.

"It's alright, I can help, I do this kind of work all the time" Kohaku volunteers eagerly, you shower her in praises and thank her for her very important service. She tries to deny that she's doing anything with her face painted in red hues from the embarrassment, but urges you to continue praising her once you stop. Senku just watches this scene unravel before him wondering if bringing you along was worth the trouble. In the chaos that is Kohaku you lock eyes with Senku and smile, and he decides that it was.

Night soon falls and Kohaku falls fast asleep against a tree somehow still in a fighter ready sword stance. You are near Senku on the floor, near the fireplace, you both look at her and then each other and laugh.

"She's quite interesting" you giggle, Senku hums in agreement.

"Does she have a name?" You wonder as perhaps names aren't a thing humans do anymore, after all it's been 5,000 years what do you know?

"Yes her name's Kohaku" Senku states his voice a bit deeper due to trying to keep quiet and also exhaustion. 'Has his voice always been like that, hmmm' you feel yourself heat up but chalk it up to the fire in front of you.

"What happened to your face" Senku asks, concern lacing his tone. You instinctively touch the cut on your cheek, you must've forgot that was there, the bloods already dried up.

"Tsukasa was trying to see if I was really dead, its nothing" You chuckle, you see Senku eyeing the wound not convinced

"Its fine dont worry, really, just a scratch" you try to dismiss his concerns, he nods his head finally giving in.

Your hear a rustling of clothes and see Senku getting in his sleeping bag, he gestures for you to get closer to him but you don't quite understand why

"Unless you wanna freeze like Kohaku, sleep near me, there's only one sleeping bag, it's the least I can do after you died for me" He says and then turns on his side facing away from you, getting ready to sleep.

Senku leaves a space open for you in case you take his offer, you're unsure as to what to do. 'I suppose it wouldn't hurt to sleep near him, it's not serious or anything, It's just Senku' you reassure yourself. You then move on the ground and lay near him, close enough where you can hear his breathing but not actually touching. You face the same direction as him so you're looking at his back. 'Ugh this idiot doesn't know what he does to me' and you drift off to sleep.

When Senku finally hears your soft breaths falling in an even but slow rhythm, he knows you're asleep and then, only then does he allow himself to rest.
