Dumb love ( Senku x Reader)

'FINALLYYYY class is overrrr' you think to yourself

You pack your notebook and pencils into your bookbag and head out of the classroom making your way over to the Chemistry clubs room. You aren't a mega fan of science you think its ok. The only reason you're in the club is because the chemistry teacher gives everyone in the club extra credit and lord knows you need it. Their also might be a special someone but you would never say that aloud.

The truth is that you and Senku had been friends for a really long time, confessing your feelings would just get in the way of that plus his one true love is science and you could never compete.

You walk into the classroom everyone is hard at work on something and you plan on doing the same. You make your way over to a desk next to Senku and pull out your notebook to start brainstorming some experiment ideas.

"Hey what you working on?" Senku asks 

"Um idk yet im just drafting some ideas up and hoping for the best" 

Senku laughs, hes almost falling over hes laughing so much

"Hey! whats so funny >:( " you angrily state, how could anything you just said been funny???

Senku wipes away his tears 

" You'll have to excuse me but you never do any work in this club instead all you do is just watch anime. Its shocking how you are still the getting extra credit"

Senku's comments actually hurt, its not that you don't want to do work its just Chemistry just isnt interesting. You feel yourself get disheartened, you cant help it but you take what Senku says to heart always even when you don't want to. 

Senku notices the sad look on your face and immediately regrets what he said

"I believe in you, if you would like I can help you come up with some ideas that align with your interest" Senku takes a seat next to you

"Nah thats ok but thanks Senku-chan~~" you sing

Senku immediately gets flustered and covers his face

"It is illogical to call me by that name, in the process of you saying Senku c-chan you have lost 0.02 seconds that could have aided in your exp-pirement" 

you giggle, Senku looks at you and smiles he likes you but to say that out loud would be illogical as there is a 50% chance of rejection and with that margin being too high, he refuses to take the risk. 

You stop giggling and look up to see Senku smiling at you. You both lock eyes for a few seconds but to you it felt infinite. His ruby eyes were so bright and deep you could stare at them all day.  Senku hoped he could look into your eyes for an eternity but this moment comes to a halt when you both hear

"SENKU, (Y/N), TO DAY IS THE DAY I WILL CONFESS MY LOVE TO YUZURIHA"

Taiju's screams snap the both of you back to reality and you both look away flustered, neither one of you noticing the feelings you both hold for each other.

"ARE YOU OK SENKU YOU'RE SO RED NOT YOUR USUAL SHADE OF PALE"

"OF COURSE IM FINE" Senku irritably states

You look over your shoulder to Senku and he is blushing, this only makes you blush even more so you put your hands up to your face to block it from anyone's view

"Confessing your love to Yuzuriha is illogical, as a solution I have created this love potion, drink it and any girl would fall in love with you" 

You hear this and you cant help yourself from jerking your head back in shock like the rest of the room. Who in the world would ever think to make a love potion using science, Senku that's who. Taiju accepts the bottles only to pour the magic substance on the floor 'Aaah I could've used that on Senku rip'  

"Thanks Senku but Im sorry I cant use cheap tricks, I will confess to Yuzuriha with my own will."

Taiju then walks out of the classroom. 

one of the students across the room asks how he made a love potion to which Senku smirks and replies

"If only those existed, that potion was gasoline couldn't you tell?"

Senku smirks to himself, the smirk you've fallen for. 'ugh that ass how dare he make me feel this way' you have the urge to throw a chair at him you cant do that so yo do the next best thing, which is to bother him

"Wow and for a second I thought Senku-chan was a genius~"

Senku's face heats up once again. Senku opens his mouth to say something when suddenly a green light shines through the window and everything goes dark
