"Please don't almost die ever again!" Jonah said as he walked in. Emily could tell he had been crying, but she didn't comment. She probably looked worse."Jonah! what are you doing here? I thought you were still mad at me." Emily asked. Why was he here. She had been a jerk. She didn't deserve him being here. "I am!" he said sternly, but with a smile on his face.
"I'll give you two some alone time." said Emily's mom getting up. "Why are you here? I've been a jerk." Emily said. There was no hididng the regret in her words. "You have been but that doesn't mean I'm going to be one." Jonah replied."Thanks." replied Emily sarcasticly."No problem." They both laughed.
"Jonah, I've been thinking since I woke up about how I should have died..." "Stop." Jonah ordered. "No Jonah it's made me realized how much of a jerk I've been and how poorly I've acted. And....and I would like to take you up on that offer to talk about salvation." Emily could tell Jonah was suprised."Yeah, I would love to, but why me instead of your dad?" "Well that's a little bit difficult to explain." Emily said. "I'm all ears." Jonah said sitting down.
Emily and Jonah talked for what seemed like a whole day but was only a couple of hours. " and Christ rose from the dead on the third day." Jonah ended. Emily stayed silent."Soooooo" Jonah said waiting for a reply. Emily birst into tears. "Do you need me to get the nurse? Does something hurt?" Jonah said quickly starting to worry. "No Jonah it all makes sense now!" Emily said through her tears. "Wait does that mean?" "Yes I want to except Christ!"
Jonah and Emily prayed and then he went to go get her mom, dad, and brother. "That's great honey! I'm so proud!" Her mother said tearing up. Andy gave her a hug, but her dad stayed at the door. "Dad?" Emily asked cautiously. "Don't you EVER,EVER do that again do you hear me?" her dad yelled, while crying, while running to give her a huge hug. "I won't I promise!" Now the only people not crying were Andy and Jonah. "Umm... We'll be outside." Jonah said bringing Andy with him.
"I'll go with them." Emily's mother said.Emily's father sat down. "I'm really sorry dad I didn't mean the things I said and I didn't mean to scare you guys. I was just so confused and..." "No Emily you had the right to be confused and angry. I wasn't mad at you I was mad at myself for not being a good father and not seeing that you needed help." "But Dad you are the world's greatest dad and even I didn't see it coming. No one could help me with this but me." "I'm so proud of you you know that." said Emily's father."Thanks dad." They hugged one last hug,Emily said buy to everyone, and she finally got some rest.
