Emily found out that Jimmy and Christen hadn't made it, but John and Sady were in a pretty similar condition to her. Jonah visited more then Emily's own family and they caught up on the months not spent together.

"Where"s  Catherine?" Emily asked one day. "Probably hanging out with her boyfriend." Jonah said obviously disgusted. "Is he a good guy?" Emily asked. "Yeah but they hang out so much! They started dating when he asked her to the dance coming up." Jonah said.

" Do you have a girlfriend?" Emily asked really hoping the answer was no."No, and I don't have a date to the dance either, but I was going to ask this one girl who I used to be really close friends with." Jonah said with a twinkle in his eye." "To be your girlfriend or just to go to the dance?" "To be my girlfriend." "Oh." was all Emily said. "You really can't take a hint can you. Emily Grace Matthews I'm asking YOU to be my girlfriend!" Jonah said. "Wait what?" Emily was pretty sure she was in a dream. "So yes or no?" Jonah asked hesitent.

"YES! I mean yes. The onl thing is.... well it might be difficult since I'm grounded for the rest of my life." "Already talked to your dad." Jonah said proudly."And he said your only grounded till the dance, which is in two weeks. He thinks this has been punishment enough." Jonah said. "I hope I'm out by then." Emily said. "Oh yeah I was suposed to tell you about an hour ago but you get out in three days." "And you just happen to forget to tell me this?" 

Emily and Jonah talked for a bit longer and then Jonah had to leave.

"It's so good to be home." Emily replid as she walked in the front door. She had crutches still and a couple bandages but she was pretty well healed. "So I was thinking that tomorrow since it's Saturday we could go look for a dress for the dance." Emily's mother said excidedly. "I would love too." Emily even had a dress already in mind.

"You look beautiful Emily." Her father said as she walked down the stairs in her dress for the dance. "Thanks." Emily said. There was a knock at the door. "I still think it's weird your Jonah's girlfriend." Andy said as Emily's father got the door. "Well get used to it." Emily said with a smile on her face.

"WOW!" Jonah said when he saw Emily."You look amazing Em." "Thanks.So do you." She said as she walked out the door to Jonah's car. "Back by 10:00" Emily's father called. "He's joking right?" Jonah asked. "I don't know if so our relationship is going to be over before it's even started." They both laughed.

"So an all white dress hu. Why is that? I thought you hated all white dresses." Jonah questioned on the way to the dance. "I guess you'll have to wait till Sunday to find out." Emily replied as they pulled in. "Well girl in white at least don't make me wait for a dance." They smiled at each other and walked into the dance ready to have a party.
