"Wait. THE Harry Riddle?" Draco shrieked.
I hushed him and told him to calm down.
"My father has told me all about you, says that your father is the most powerful Wizard."
"I suppose so" I answered while shrugging my shoulders.
When our stomachs were all full, and the plates and food all disappeared from the tables, Dumbledore clapped his hands and stood up, "Now that everyone is satisfied, I expect that you must all be exhausted. Prefects, please guide the first years to their new rooms. I wish you all a good night, and please don't forget that classes start tomorrow at 8am."
Draco and I stood up simultaneously and followed our house prefect.
We were about to exit the Great hall when Draco bumped into a bushy haired girl. Hermione Granger. The same feeling of unease I felt before, washed over me.
"Watch where you're going, you filthy little mudblood" Draco spat at her.
Never have I seen a young boy use that sort of language with such confidence.
"I wonder how you can even see where you're going, with all that hair in your face" I smirked as I looked at the mudblood from head to toe. She really did look atrocious with all that hair.
Right then and there I thought she would have a blow out because her face became as red as the boys hair next to her.
"You two are real gits" the boy spoke with fury, and stormed away with the crying mudblood.
Draco huffed as we continued our walk to the common room.
"See Riddle, those slimy Griffindorks are the type of people you want to stay away from, a Mudblood and a waste of Pure-blood" the blonde said coldly as we continued to walk down the cold and eerie corridors of the dungeons leading to our common room.
We came to a stop at a great black oak door and slipped in after saying the password. I was gobsmacked. The common room was a big room with a low ceiling and many green lamps that gave off green light, a few black leather sofas and seats with green and silver cushions that mostly stood around the fireplace at the far end of the room and dark walnut furniture. The walls were made of rough stone and I saw a few skulls placed here and there, plus some green rugs on the floor which made it look even homelier. I loved it. The room was filled with scents of meadows, fresh cut grass and it felt as though if it was winter you could just crawl up in a blanket near the fire and eat food with your friends all day.
Everyone inside were either doing homework or playing a game called exploding snap. My father taught me how to play when I was 6 and I have been unbeatable ever since.
"Girls' dormitory is on the right hallway and the boys' is on the left. Only enter the room with your initials on it please." our prefect said in a bored manner.
Draco and I walked for what seemed like ages, ' I really hope we get a room together' I thought.
When we reached the second door I almost jumped for joy when I saw on the dark wooden door, Draco Malfoy , Harry Riddle & Blaise Zabini.
"Who's this Zabimbi guy?' I asked once reading the whole thing.
"Yes!" the blond boy exclaimed while turning to face me " You'll like him, I've known Blaise for a long time. Thank god it wasn't Crabbe or Goyle" Draco finished with a big grin.
The door opened with a creak and revealed a room with three four poster beds made of walnut wood, each with a set of green drapes and Slytherin coloured covers. There was a fire place next to a door, presumably the bathroom. The thing that caught my eye the most was the black leather couch next to a huge window looking into the Black Lake, the water looked so calming and I waved as some fish passed by.
"Hello" came the voice of the stranger that had been eyeing my every move.
"Goodness you could have given me a heart attack, why didn't you say anything before" I said aloud as I was trying to catch my breath from the scare I just got.
"Sorry, I was just curious as what to who you were, you look familiar, have we met before?" asked the boy. Until now I hadn't noticed his dark skin that resembled to chocolate, hair that was as the shape of waves and his dark, round, curious eyes.' Why do I keep doing this, looking at boys like this?' I asked myself.
"Earth to Harry!" Draco waved his hand frantically across my face to try and get me out of my spaced out moment.
"Umm sorry, I was just thinking if we had met, I don't think we have" I lied trying to cover up my spaced out moment.
"Oh okey" Draco answered as he plopped himself down on his four poster bed, Blaise just nodded.
Suddenly the door jumped open and a tall, very pale, thin girl with a black short bob, dark hazel eyes and a few freckles over her small button nose stormed in, " DRACO!! BLAISE!! AHH IT'S SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!!" she shrieked with excitement. She came to a halt in front of me and eyed me carefully.
"And you are?" she asked sceptically.
"Uhm.. I'm Harry. Harry Riddle" I told her as her eyes became wide.
"OH MY GOD! Draco why didn't you tell me you were sharing a room with THE Harry Riddle?? And you Blaise, you could've at least told me." the girl rambled while glancing between me and the other two boys. "Oh I'm Pansy Parkinson by the way, pleasure to meet you." she said while grinning and stretching her hand towards mine, shaking it vigorously.
"Pansy when you've calmed down we would like to go to bed" Draco drawled while rubbing his eyes.
She quickly apologised, gave me a quick smile, and left the room, leaving us alone.
"Well... that was interesting" I said.
"Yeah. She's a bit much sometimes but a great friend" Blaise huffed while climbing into his bed.
I yawned while taking my glasses off and snuggling into my blanket.
The Next Day
I was awoken by the sound of exhilarated voices.
"WAKE UP HARRY IT'S TIME FOR SCHOOL!!" Draco whooped while jumping on my bed.
"I'm up, I'm up!" I retaliated.
I got up and walked into the bathroom to get ready. I opened the door and squinted my eyes because of the bright light that came from the ceiling. The bathroom was quite big. The ceiling and walls were both made of rough stone and the floor was made of grey slate. There was one very big shower and green rugs on the floor. A huge mirror spread all across the wall that was opposite the shower and toilet.
I got changed into my Slytherin robes after taking a quick shower, and stepped out of the bathroom. Draco, Blaise and I all walked out of our dorm and headed to the Great Hall. We were running up the stairs when I bumped into something, or someone.
"Watch where you're going!" I spat at the boy in front of me.
"Oi, you ran into me!" the boy exclaimed angrily while furrowing his eyebrows.
Draco pulled out his wand and stood in front of me, "Do you know who you're talking to? His Father is the Dark Lord, I'd watch my mouth if I were you."
"Wait. I didn't know THE Harry Riddle was coming to Hogwarts this year. My name's Theodore Nott, rather interesting way to meet you" he smirked.
We all walked to the Great Hall together and sat down at our table. After breakfast, our prefect handed us our timetables and we made our way to our first class which was Charms.
