Old keys

I walk into what looks like a pharmacy, no it couldn't be, maybe it's a toy store, no it can't be, there aren't enough toys, maybe it's one of those places where they make furniture? Then I see Liam walking around, carrying a bunch of boxes.

"Hey Liam!" I yell.

"Hey Sheila." Liam says.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"Well, Sheila, if you must know, I'm taking these old keys, and melting them, since no one wanted to buy any over the past month, we are forced to melt them." Liam says.

"What are the keys used for?" I ask.

"Anything, they're lost keys, if anyone looses a key and someone finds it but they don't know who it belonged too, they bring it here for us to sell, they could open anything, from lockers to doors the possibilities are endless." Liam replies.

"I can't believe anyone would want to get rid of perfectly good keys." I say.

"Well Sheila, if you like those keys so much, you can have one. Free of charge, they're probably too old to open anything though." Liam says.

"Thanks Liam!" I say.

I open the box, and start going through the keys. They are all different sizes, ranging from big house keys to tiny mailbox ones. I go through the box for about ten minutes until I find the perfect key, it's big, about the size of my pointer finger. It's silver, with little crystal like stones in it, with an owl on the top, and on the side, there is something engraved in tiniest handwriting.

It says, remember who you are, Kali.

Why would someone want to engrave on a key, remember who you are, well whoever wrote that, was crazy, how can anyone forget who they are? Unless, they got there memory erased, like everyone here. Well, that would have been impossible, for someone here to make a key, before they got there memory erased. Well that's a scary thought.

I run my fingers down the key, it feels familiar, it feels right.

"Well Sheila, I think I should go melt these keys now." Liam says as he takes the box and walks into a room that says, employees only, that's probably the room where they melt keys.

As I walk out, I can't help but think I should make this into a necklace. So I walk over to a little cart with strings in it, and examine the strings, there are wax strings, plastic strings, leather strings, black strings, blue strings. Basically every type of string you can think of!

"Can I help you?" A woman says, she has a blonde side braid, green eyes, and red shirt, blue jeans, and black flip flops.

"Umm, yeah actually you can, do you have any black leather bracelets?" I say.

"I don't think so, but I could check under my bunk if you want, since the east corridor is right over there?" She says.

"Okay, I'll be right here waiting." I say.

When the woman gets back, she brings back a handful of black leather strings.

She says, "Do you want me to make you something, I can make five string braids, fish tails, diamond patterns, and lots more!"

"Sure , can you make a two string diamond pattern?" I ask.

"Yeah, do you have a special bead or something you want to put on it?" She says.

"I do actually, I have this key, can you make it into a necklace?" I say.

"Yes, it will make a great necklace!" She says.

After about fifteen minutes later, the woman finally finishes making my necklace.

She says, "Here you go, that will be 5*." She hands me the necklace. I put it on and look in the little side mirror. I give her the rest of the money that Alex gave me as a welcoming bonus.

"Thanks." I say.

"Your welcome." The woman says as I walk away.

The pic is of Sheila's new key. I can't wait to get this book to 1k reads! It'll be so exiting for me! And when I get to my goal, I'll make a new book! But I don't know what it'll be about though. Maybe someone will get kidnaped or something..... Got any ideas? Comment!
