Her hands trembles, her slender fingers, on which rests chipped nail polish, shake subtly, as she stares at the screen in utter confusion and shock.
It's a joke, it must be a joke she repeats internally, the facade crumbling swiftly.
Replaying it over and over again doesn't make anything clearer, as her soaked figure stands in the middle of the rainy street, puddles surrounding, as her hair flutters around in the wind, falling in front of her azure eyes.
The busy streets drown out as a lone tear escapes those ocean orbs of hers, her thick eyelashes bearing tiny droplets, blinking back a river, trying their best to hold them back as an inevitable storm approaches.
