We stared up at the captivating stars, our bodies sprawled on either side of the convertible. I ended up ordering the pizza, then ditching before we had to pay. Another one of Liam's great influences. I secretly was terrified and dropped a twenty on the counter before we both ran out of the pizza place. But he'd never know that.

I flickered my eyes to look at Liam focusing up at the sky.

"What's on your mind?" I asked.

Liam's eyes were focused on the dark sky that sparkled with little flecks of light.

"Nothing of relevance." He mumbled, clearly still distracted by his thoughts.

A few moments later, I felt Liam's pocket buzz. Had he already gotten a new phone? I couldn't stop that small part of me that was jealous that after all that I went through with my phone, Liam could still buy a new one.

How was I supposed to message my friends back home? Shit! What about Scarlet? April would freak out if I didn't answer my texts or calls. I faintly remembered when she made me promise that we would never drift apart at our graduation.

"Yeah, I know... yeah okay.... I understand," Liam sounded exasperated, rolling his eyes at every pause, sighing loudly when the person would interrupt him.

I gave him a questioning look, wondering who would call him at this hour of the night. I mean did the french lack basic manners?

"Yeah I will... Okay!... I promise. Have a good night Mrs. Berry." Liam hung up and put his phone back in his pocket.

His thoughts have changed to one of worry. I could tell from the small frown he now had.

"Who was that?" I questioned.

"My therapist." He didn't even look down at me.

Was he trying to avoid the subject?

What? Why does he have a therapist?

"What did she want?"

"Now that Rosebaby, is confidential." He smirked down at me from his side of the convertible.

Rosebaby, how affectionate. But I still want to know! What was she asking him?

"Maybe in the future you'll find out, but for now you can continue having dreamy thoughts about me." He smirked down at me, his greyish blue eyes filled with humour.

"You wish." I retorted.

I glanced at the clock that flashed 2:14am. It was getting late, and oddly, not a single part of me could've cared less.

I woke up to a creme cashmere blanket wrapped around me. I recognized my surroundings as the back seat of the car, but this time the roof covered above me, keeping me warm.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" Liam asked in a soft tone, looking away from the road.

"No, it's alright. Where are we?" I rubbed my eyes to get a clearer vision.

"You're almost home, we'll be there in a few minutes. Don't fall back asleep, I don't want to have to wake you up." He warned.

"Okay." I mumbled, yawning.

I needed to keep myself distracted or I was guaranteed to faint of exhaustion. And to be honest I wasn't in the mood to annoy him.

"Liam, can I make a confession?" I mumbled loud enough for him to hear me.

"Uh, okay?"

"I left a 20 bill in one of the booths before we ran out." I whispered.

I'm not going to lie, I was nervous. He probably thought I wasn't up to his bad boy standards. My cheeks burned in embarrassment.
