"So let me get this straight, you waited 2 hours for him at his place for your own phone only for him to break it and not offer to replace it?" Avallana just couldn't understand it.
"Yeah! Well no.... He left his own phone with me to "replace" my own." I made air quotes to show my sarcasm.
Avallana eyes grew wide.
"You have his phone and your complaining?! Do you understand how many personal text messages and pictures that dude has on his phone? If you don't want his phone I'll gladly take it from you."
Avallana exclaimed.
"What are you talking about Avallana, he told me that his phone has nothing on it. He just got it." I was seriously confused at the moment. What the hell is this girl raving on about?
"Wow. I need to make a mental not of this: Melanie Winters is the most gullible person I will ever come across in life. Do you truly believe he's going to tell you that he has personal things on his phone?"
But that wasn't possible I clearly checked he only had one song!
I pulled out the black iPhone and unlocked the screen.
5 new texts messages, 1 voicemail and 30 emails. So he's a popular kind of guy huh?
I looked up into Avallana's eyes with embarrassment. "Don't look at me like that, it was an honest mistake." I felt my cheeks flush.
She merely shook her head in response, taking the phone away from me as she did.
"Let me tell you a little about Liam. He's one of those,"
She scratched her chin trying to find the proper word.
"too messed up to deal with kind of person. The kid has got way too many issues and is way to silent for his own good. You want to help the poor boy out but he clearly won't let anyone do that, so I left him alone and try to make him laugh while he's around. He's kinda like my broken little brother." Avallana explained.
"My hot, broken little brother."
She casually added.
I bit my tongue to prevent myself from saying a rude comment, just because he's attractive doesn't mean he isn't an ugly loner boy who broke my phone.
"Melanie did you even hear what I said?"
"Hm?"
Avallana gave me a flat look.
"Forget it Melanie. Come on I'll show you the different flavors."
She grabbed my wrists and directed me towards the variety of buckets.
"Ok so they're organized according to flavor and theme. The tropical theme over here is 6 different fruit flavors,"
I darted my eyes across the colorful ice creams.
"here we have the Teenage Dream section with American ice cream filled with loads of fat and sugar; a broken hearted girls dream-"
She winked at me.
"Lana!! Come hear for a sec?" Liam shouted from across the parlor.
Avallana gave me a 'hold that thought' kind of look and ran to the back, her blonde ponytail shining in the light.
A blew a sigh. Oh how I'd love to pull of blonde.
I read the different flavors and tried to memorize them while she was gone.
In about fifteen minutes or so, Avallana rushed out and pushed me behind the counter and ran towards the door opening it for customers.
A young boy and what looked to be his girlfriend walked in hand in hand.
