Remember?

"Melanie! Have you finished up the price list for the Spring Collection?" Christopher asked me in a rush. He was walking past my desk, not giving me time to respond. He wasn't even using his white cane properly.
"Uh I'm almost done?" I said loud enough to not be yelling, but him to hear.
Then out of nowhere, he popped beside me and said, "Coffee. Now."
I then nodded and hurried out. Clearly today was a busy day. The whole office was stressed out and trying to meet a million different deadlines- "Sorry," I said after bumping into a strong chest. That actually hurt a bit and I found myself reaching to rub my arm.
"Melanie!" Sebastian beamed.
"Mr.Christoff," I nodded in acknowledgment.
"I'm actually kind of busy, so we'll continue this conversation later. Bye." I tried to rush past him, but obviously he wouldn't let me. Ugh.
"What?" I asked, clearly unamused.
"Remember what you promised me?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Coffee at five? You never showed up..." he said, a little disappointed.
Oh shit! I totally forgot about that.
"I'm so sorry, I completely forgot. I'll make it up to you." I intended to send him flowers or something but then he said,
"So you'll meet me tonight to help me with something? My assistant is out of town for the week and I need some extra help. Everyone else is too busy prepping for my dad's visit." he rolled his eyes at the thought of his dad.
"Uh okay, do you have your phone with you?" I asked.
He pulled out a Blackberry from God knows where, and I punched in my number.
"Text me." I said before running off to get some coffee.
After waiting in the coffee shop that was filled with French hipsters and artists of all sorts, I continued working on the assignments that were thrown my way. I had to use my amazing photography and editing skills (thanks to Tumblr) to make some promotional ads and update the website. I know it sounds pretty boring, but trust me when I say this, it was the best website I'd ever seen. The whole platform was minimal and white, with splashes of powdered dye to add colour and represent the artistic part of the company. By the way, I don't think I've fully explained what this company is. All you really know is that I'm way below on the food chain of employers. Basically La Belle's Art Distributors Company manages the buying and selling of expensive art. Obviously in today's time there's so much paperwork and shit that goes into so much money being handled. There's also an art school on the east wing of this building, also where I am attending part time.
But word on the street is the new owners hate it and want to shut it down. Only for the mere fear of future clients to accidentally bump into one of the students... oh the horror! Luckily for us the founder Mr. B.S Pierre stated that "Under no circumstances whether I am dead or alive shall this school not prosper.
The only way the educational facility discontinues to run is if the company itself fails." The reasoning behind this is because he never wanted the true reason of why everyone in this building came to work every morning to be forgotten. Sometimes it's easy to get lost in the money and paper work. I even sometimes find myself thinking that I'm working in another basic marketing company. But every Tuesday and Friday I had an art class to remind myself what I do this all for... who I do it for.
I couldn't wait for tomorrow's lesson. We were starting a unit on landscapes. I couldn't even believe it, I was learning how to do landscapes in Paris. What more could a girl ask for? So why didn't I feel happy?
